Eileen Davidson, who starred in Bravo's "The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills," has come through many difficult times, from family mental health struggles to domestic abuse.
Davidson, who also played Ashley Abbott in CBS's "The Young and the Restless," openly shares her experiences with strength and vulnerability, having faced them head-on.
The youngest of seven children, Davidson had a hard time figuring out where she fit in but found dealing with her father's undiagnosed bipolar disorder more challenging.
To explain his erratic behavior, Davidson's mother told her, "Your dad, he fell off a horse when he was a kid, so maybe that's what's wrong." He died when she was 22 years old.
Reaching adulthood didn’t bring an end to tragedy. Within 18 months, her brother, sister, and niece passed away. Her husband lost his father and cousin in the same period.
Davidson channeled her emotions into her appearances on "The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills" and shared her feelings about her life and family with fans.
On her Bravo blog in 2016, she wrote, "[An abusive relationship] can happen to anyone. I know, because I've been in two of them; once when I was a teenager, and again in my 20s."
Another painful incident was when Real Housewives co-star Brandi Glanville accused Davidson of being a homewrecker when she first got together with her husband, Vince Van Patten.
Davidson denied Glanville's wine-fuelled claims and said the series helped strengthen her marriage. Resilient as ever, she continues to power through and inspire others.
