Mandy Moore and Wilmer Valderrama were once a couple, but after they split up, there was a lot of controversy between them, specifically about Valderrama lying about their relationship details. Despite this, Moore and Valderrama are still friends after all these years.
Moore met Valderrama at a photo shoot, and the two dated from 2000 to 2002, when she was 16 and 17, saying, "He was like my first, real, true boyfriend." However, in 2006, Valderrama appeared on the "Howard Stern Show,” claiming to have taken Moore's virginity and making crude remarks about her.
In 2018, Moore spoke on the "Howard Stern Show," and she not only called Valderrama out for lying about taking her virginity on the show, but she also said that she confronted him about it. She said that he tried to explain himself and that he got “caught up, and like he maybe insinuated more than outright said it. And I was like, 'No, you outright said it'"
Now in their late 30s and early 40s, they've got past the incident and keep an amicable friendship, with Moore saying, "This was 2005. We're not that close, but we're friendly." They even ran into each other on a studio lot and grabbed a quick photo for Instagram, both adding heartfelt captions about their love for one another.
