Brad Carlton's Unexpected Death On The Young and the Restless

Brad Carlton (Don Diamont) was a fan favorite for 25 years on the soap "The Young and the Restless," so Diamont’s firing and character’s demise in 2009 came as a complete shock.
Shortly before his death, Brad was married to Victoria Newman (Amelia Heinle) and expecting a baby, but he was having an affair with Sharon Newman (Sharon Case).
Victoria found out, miscarried, and divorced Brad. Conflict between Sharon and Brad continued, and when Brad told her he loved her at the Abbott cabin, she rejected him.
As he left the cabin, Brad heard Sharon's son, Noah Newman (then Kevin Schmidt), screaming after falling through the frozen lake while ice skating.
Brad stopped and pulled Noah from the ice and saved his life, but Brad fell through the ice, suddenly and tragically drowning, which left fans grieving.
Soon after leaving "The Young and the Restless," Diamont was cast as Bill Spencer on "The Bold and the Beautiful" and has become another fan favorite on that soap.
