Vanessa Bermudez

• In 2013, Vanessa landed her first journalism job as an editor-in-chief for a small, local publication in her area.
• She contributed to various websites, including Inquisitr, Monsters and Critics, SoapDirt, and more.
• In 2021, Vanessa grew a keen interest in soap operas, particularly "Bold and the Beautiful" and "Young and the Restless." She eventually created a small blog site dedicated to these two shows.

Experience

Vanessa has been working as a writer for over a decade. Throughout her career, she has crafted compelling content across a diverse range of niches. She's particularly interested in the entertainment field, paving the way for her various work experiences on different platforms. Prior to working online, she was a News and Feature writer for a small, weekly local newspaper in the Philippines. She eventually became the Bureau Chief of the same print publication. She eventually joined a diverse roster of freelance writers online, focused on celebrity news and reality TV. After a few years, she took a different route and tried her hand at finance and marketing topics. Vanessa became a contributor and quality checker for several personal finance websites under District Media. Vanessa returned to writing entertainment pieces this year, joining Static Media as a news writer for The List.

Education

Vanessa has a bachelor's degree in civil engineering from University of the East in the Philippines. She also took a short course in Industrial Design.
