Experience

Like his hero, screenwriter, and Facebook poster Paul Schrader, Finlay cut his teeth as a critic, publishing work both online and in print, including in the tastemaking film magazine Little White Lies. Recently, he wrote about his love of football (or soccer) ephemera for HobbyFC. He also gained hands-on experience in what makes a good story by reading scripts, penning coverage, and providing script notes during his time in the film industry. He has written and directed several short films that have gained festival attention. Recently, he lent his eye for a great screenplay to DVRSO, helping underprivileged writers get a start in the film industry.

Education

Finlay has a bachelor's degree in film from the University of Westminster.
