What Is Ree Drummond's Zodiac Sign?

Fans of the zodiac know that signs matter. The exact time you came to be on the planet, even down to the time and place you were born means something.

The most popular and easiest way to get a glimpse into someone's personality through astrology is to simply look at their sun sign. A sun sign is based on the precise positioning of the sun at the moment you were born (via Allure).

It's also what is commonly referred to as "your sign." While there are many more intricacies to delve into once you go deep into astrology, like learning the difference between your moon, sun, and rising sign, a person's sun sign is typically the introduction into what makes a person tick (via MindBody).

When you learn of a celebrity's sign, you can often see how their sign makes sense for them since so much of their lives are public. Celebrity blogger, writer, and Food Network star Ree Drumond, host of "The Pioneer Woman," is no exception.

Ree Drummond is a Capricorn

Born on January 6, 1969, Ree Drummond is a Capricorn (via Biography). If you've ever watched "The Pioneer Woman," you know that Drummond likes to get things done. Whether she's cooking up a meal for a household of family and friends or feeding the cowboys who work on her and her husband's ranch — one that includes thousands of horses and a herd of cattle — Drummond is a workhorse.

It makes sense, then, that she's a Capricorn. Astrologer Elisabeth Grace broke down the sign, telling Well+Good, "Ruled by the planet Saturn, which represents the limits of space and time, Capricorns are born with a keen awareness of this Earthly limitation and are thus determined to make things happen during their lifetime."

Drummond embodies many Capricorn traits, and it's easy to see when you look at her career. Capricorns can be relentless workaholics. Yet that doesn't mean they don't enjoy what they're doing. It's that innate hardworking drive that led Drummond to become one of the most famous faces on the Food Network, after all. Natural taskmasters, Capricorns have high ambition; they aim for lofty goals and work to make them happen.

Capricorn's practical nature

Besides her fresh face and appearance (Capricorns often seem more youthful as they age, notes Allure), part of Ree Drummond's appeal is that she doesn't think what she does is particularly spectacular. "I think people are drawn to 'The Pioneer Woman,' not because I am some fascinating person, but because I present things that a lot of people can relate to," she told The Associated Press).

According to Cosmopolitan, Capricorns find a way to make things better in the world they live in using their disciplined self-control. By doing this Capricorns typically use one of their main interests, DIY, to make more of another one of their favorites: money. When starting out, Drummond posted a recipe on her blog and fans kept asking for another. That consistency and relatability are what eventually led her to publish a slew of books including several cookbooks, children's books, and a memoir — and to host her hit show, "The Pioneer Woman."

For Drummond, what began as a simple action of preparing food for those around her and sharing recipes online snowballed into quite a successful financial life. She and her husband now own much of downtown Pawhuska, Oklahoma including a pizzeria, restaurant, and a boarding house (via CBS Sunday Morning). Yet while Drummond has attained celebrity status, she has retained her very practical Capricorn ways, working hard and putting in the effort into what she cares about most: her family.
