The Relatable Thing Jennifer Garner Did During Jennifer Lopez's Second Wedding To Ben Affleck
Ben Affleck and Jennifer Lopez surprised everyone in July 2022 with a no-frills wedding in Las Vegas that probably cost less than $400. The couple swapped vows at the iconic A Little White Wedding Chapel, with the bride in a dress she had saved "from an old movie" and only their children in attendance. "So with the best witnesses you could ever imagine, a dress from an old movie and a jacket from Ben's closet, we read our own vows in the little chapel and gave one another the rings we'll wear for the rest of our lives," Lopez wrote in her On the JLo newsletter (via People).
This past weekend, Affleck and Lopez threw a bigger celebration in Georgia, surrounded by family and close friends. Lopez wore a custom-made Ralph Lauren gown to the festivities, with Affleck donning a white tuxedo jacket with black pants, as People reported. The couple's wedding guests — also decked out in white — included celebrities Matt Damon, Kevin Smith, and more.
And according to Hollywood Life, an invitation was extended to Affleck's ex-wife, Jennifer Garner. The two share three children — daughters Violet and Seraphina, and son Samuel — and have remained on good terms after their divorce. But an insider revealed that Garner's work schedule would keep her from attending the event. Instead, as Affleck and Lopez celebrated their love, Garner was seen running some errands in her hometown.
Jennifer Garner paid a visit to Sam's Club during the festivities
While Ben Affleck and Jennifer Lopez celebrated their marriage with family and close friends in Georgia, Jennifer Garner was spotted in West Virginia perusing the aisles of a local Sam's Club. According to the Daily Mail, Garner was at the store with her father and her boyfriend, John Miller — who she's been in a relationship with since 2018, via Town & Country. She even posed for photos with some excited fans!
Although she missed their wedding, Garner is reportedly supportive of her ex-husband's new marriage. She sent the couple flowers after their Las Vegas nuptials, per Hollywood Life, and has welcomed Lopez into the family. "There is nothing more important to her than her kids' happiness so the fact that they feel welcomed and at ease and have bonded with J.Lo and her kids is just the best thing she could ask for," a source told Hollywood Life.
Garner wasn't the only family member to miss the Georgia nuptials. Affleck's brother Casey wasn't able to attend the wedding due to "parental obligations" (via People), but he did send his new sister-in-law a sweet message on Instagram, calling Lopez "a gem."
