Days Of Our Lives Favorite Sal Stowers Has A Surprising New Career
"Days of Our Lives" fans were stunned when they learned that one of the show's most beloved couples Lani Price (Sal Stowers) and Eli Grant (Lamon Archey) were leaving the soap opera. After Lani shot and killed her biological father, T.R., things got dramatic in her life. At first, her mother Paulina was set to take the blame for the shooting (via Soap Opera Spy). However, Lani's guilty conscious wouldn't allow that to happen. Eventually, Lani confessed to killing T.R. and turned herself into the police. She was sentenced to serve her time in a prison outside of Salem and left town.
Meanwhile, Lani's husband, Eli decided that he was going to take their twins Carver and Jules and move out of Salem in order to be closer to the prison where Lani was being held. So while the couple was written off the show, the soap could easily bring one or both of them back in the future.
After Lani's departure, Stowers opened up about her decision to exit the sudser. The actress admitted to Soap Opera Digest that she'd been thinking about leaving for a while and that it was a tough decision for her to make, per The U.S. Sun. "I put so much into my work, and I've given so much to Lani. I know her like the back of my hand, and I love her so much," Stowers stated.
Now, it seems that the actress is going down a new career path.
Sal Stowers is now a nutrition coach and personal trainer
After leaving "Days of Our Lives," Sal Stowers told Soap Digest that she was ready to try new things, per The U.S. Sun. "As an artist, there just comes a time when you want to try to see what else you're capable of doing," she said. "You've got to take risks, and dream big-a**, bold dreams, just try other opportunities. That's what it was about for me, taking the risk in my career and trusting that I'm going to be okay," she added.
Now, it seems that Stowers has found her next opportunity. Over the weekend, the actress shared some big news with her fans via Instagram. Stowers revealed that she had passed her nutrition test and that she was officially a certified nutrition coach and personal trainer. Later, she shared a video of herself pointing out all the ways that she could help her clients, revealing that she could offer them things such as a nutrition program, wellness tips, guidance, and help them work on their bodies. "Let's get to work," she captioned the clip.
While Stowers may no longer be stepping into the shoes of Lani Price on "Days of Our Lives," it does appear that she's happy and ready to help people on their health and fitness journies.
