The Name Of Pippa Middleton's New Daughter Shares A Similarity With Lilibet Diana
Pippa Middleton stole the show — according to some — on Catherine Middleton and Prince William's wedding day in 2011 with her well-fitted ivory satin crepe maid of honor dress. People seemed to pay particular attention to how it fitted from, well, the back. At a 2014 event, Pippa joked, "As I have found out, recognition has its upside, its downside and — you may say — its backside." As sister-in-law to the Duke of Cambridge and sister to the Duchess of Cambridge, Pippa will always be somewhat in the spotlight, but after her high profile appearance at the royal wedding, she's settled down with her hedge fund manager husband James Matthews, who she married in 2017, per Us Weekly.
The couple now own Bucklebury Farm, a safari park in Berkshire, England, Hello! Magazine notes. Pippa's bump for baby number three – they had son Arthur in 2018 and daughter Grace in 2021 — was on display at a Platinum Jubilee party. She's since given birth, and the name of her daughter has a connection to Prince Harry and Meghan Markle's daughter's name, Lilibet Diana.
Pippa Middleton's third baby's name is Rose
Pippa Middleton has reportedly named her second daughter Rose, per Daily Mail. Rose, according to Verywell Family, is from the Latin rosa and can be traced back to Old English meaning "famous type." And what does Lilibet Diana go by? Lili — two sweet flower-inspired names. No confirmation at this time as to what middle names baby Rose has.
This isn't the first time Pippa has given her baby a name that connects to a member of the royal family; though previous choices may have been more deliberate than others. When Pippa named her daughter Grace, she used the middle names Elizabeth and Jane; Catherine Middleton's middle name is Elizabeth and it's one of Princess Charlotte's middle names — her full name is Charlotte Elizabeth Diana. The name Elizabeth, of course, connects to Queen Elizabeth II, but it has been a common middle name in the Middleton family; Pippa and Kate's mother has it too, per Cosmopolitan. Pippa's middle name, by extension, is Charlotte; the same name as her niece.
