The Kardashians are known for their over-the-top parties. Just think back to Easter when Kris Jenner threw a jaw-dropping celebration for her grandkids that featured personalized gumball machines — seriously. Given the spare-no-expense attitude with which the reality stars typically approach planning a party, it should come as no surprise that Kim's lavish birthday gathering for her daughter North West is raising some eyebrows.

The hubbub started when the mom of four shared photos from her daughter's party, which featured a "Camp North" theme. It appeared that guests started the soiree by boarding Kim's personal jet and proceeding to go on a wilderness retreat complete with matching pajamas and sleeping tents for all the kids who attended.

Ziplining and boating were also on the itinerary for guests including North's cousins and friends. And at least one fellow celebrity mom is not pleased with how big Kim went for her first born's birthday.

According to People, the singer's daughter Maxwell was among the lucky attendees of the glamping gala. Indeed, the star also shared photos from the party to her Twitter, revealing that the kids also enjoyed archery, and prompting many people to roll their eyes. "Wow, rich people only camp," one follower commented in part.

For her part, Jenna Bush Hager, who is a mom of three, was not feeling the vibe of the costly bash. The Today host slammed the soiree on Thursday's episode, saying, "I have a 9-year-old, she did not have a party like this. Because, y'all, this party was over the top!" (via New York Post).

Could she just be sour that her daughter Mila wasn't invited?
