Olivia Plath Has Worries About Her Husband's Remaining Ties To His Hometown
Olivia And Ethan Plath's marriage has endured more than its fair share of setbacks over the years, thanks predominantly to his ultra-strict family. In fact, per Screen Rant, fans believe they're constantly on the brink of divorce. The couple had a tough third season on "Welcome to Plathville," with Olivia even briefly moving out of their shared home. The finale saw them relocating to Tampa in a bid to finally put each other first, but Season 4 opened with them on the outs once again as Ethan casually took Olivia for granted.
Complicating matters, her brother and his sister are now living with the couple, making it nearly impossible for Ethan and Olivia to get any proper alone time together. Moreover, when Moriah Plath broke up with her boyfriend, the teen's co-stars and housemates were tasked with helping her work through it, as they told People. Ethan and Olivia seem to be in a better place now, though, with the wedding photographer recently sharing some lovely shots of the couple on holiday in Jamaica, celebrating Ethan's birthday.
"Happy birthday, love," she wrote on Instagram. "So glad I get to know you and love you." Judging by the latest "Welcome to Plathville" preview, though, the couple had even more to get through before making it to a positive place in their marriage.
Olivia is concerned about Ethan traveling back and forth too much
In a sneak peek of an upcoming episode of "Welcome To Plathville" (via Twitter), Olivia Plath admits to husband Ethan Plath that she's unsure whether him traveling between Tampa and his original hometown in Cairo, Georgia is necessarily the best idea for their relationship. Olivia confronts Ethan about going back and forth the whole time, after clarifying in a confessional that she fully supports his business. However, as the wedding photographer reasoned, "I told him, like, 'We could build something in the backyard, we could put your cars in the backyard.' He's like, 'No I'm not doing that for a place I'm renting.'"
Indeed, Ethan wouldn't even let his wife help him find a spot locally, leading her to grow increasingly frustrated with the strain all that traveling was having on their marriage. Ethan argued that, in an ideal world, he'd be spending more time working on cars closer to home. But, as it stands, he only needs to spend a couple weeks at most up in Cairo to save a huge amount in the long run. It's tough, but it has to be done.
Last year, Olivia got real about her rocky relationship with Ethan, admitting his family had made things very difficult for them, in an interview with People. Since Ethan's parents are seemingly refusing to heal their rift, the couple needs to rely on each other even more than before. Hopefully, they can work things out.
