Kate And William Had Two Hollywood A-Listers Swooning At The Top Gun Maverick Premiere

The "Top Gun: Maverick" London premiere was a celebrity-studded event that would have caused many established Hollywood types to feel a little starstruck. After all, the screening saw all of the movie's stars in attendance, like Tom Cruise — whose height next to Kate Middleton sent the internet into a tizzy — as well as Jennifer Connelly, Jon Hamm and Miles Teller. But it turns out that the film's stars themselves were captivated by who else was in attendance at the premiere of the highly-anticipated "Top Gun" sequel.

Yes, we speak of Kate and William, who walked the red carpet along with the cast of the movie, her in a stunning, black and white Roland Mouret gown that we'll be talking about for years to come, and him looking dapper as ever in a tux.

Interestingly, this occasion marked Cruise's first meeting with the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge, although the actor has been a Hollywood staple for decades (via Us Weekly). The "Risky Business" star taking Kate's hand to help her up the stairs received a ton of attention, incidentally.

Meanwhile, Hamm and Teller would also cross paths with the royals for the first time at the screening and let's just say they were awestruck.

Jon Hamm noticed everything about Prince William down to his shoes

It seems landing a role in "Top Gun: Maverick" saw Jon Hamm's every dream come true. As he told Willie Geist in a new interview, the star can hardly believe he gets to work with one of his heroes, Tom Cruise. "It was a no brainer for me," Hamm said about taking on the role of Admiral Beau Simpson, call sign Cyclone. He added working with the legend was "infectious" and "fun."

Then, after what seems like a magical experience making the film, Hamm enjoyed another career high when got to meet the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge at the London premiere. The "Mad Men" star talked to Jimmy Fallon on "The Tonight Show" following his royal encounter and said, "It was a very cool experience. They couldn't be nicer."

The star even noticed Prince William's loafers, telling Fallon the royal had his shoes embroidered specially for the occasion with F-18s, a nod to the planes featured in "Top Gun."

But Hamm wasn't the only star at the screening who truly geeked out over meeting a member of the royal family.

Miles Teller was transfixed by Prince William's eyes

As Jon Hamm told Jimmy Fallon about meeting Prince William and Kate Middleton at the "Top Gun: Maverick" screening in London, there were rules and regulations to follow, such as bowing. But it seems Miles Teller, who plays a lieutenant nicknamed Rooster, was left so starstruck upon being introduced to the couple, he may have broken protocol.

"He geeked out a little on Prince William's eyes," the 51-year-old told the TV host about Teller, whom he said came back after meeting the future king of England and said about his peepers, "They're so blue. I got lost in his eyes."

According to Hamm, Teller even got so flustered, apparently by the royal's eyes, that he forgot if he went so far as to tell William he loved his eyes. The "Friends With Kids" star joked he didn't know they were allowed to look the Prince in the eye, but it seems the 35-year-old was simply too overcome to pay attention to the rules.
