This Celeb-Favorite Makeup Line From The Philippines Is Finally Available In The US
Sunnies Face has been a highly coveted brand for a minute now. The Filipino makeup brand has been spotted on countless celebrities, including makeup icon and "Euphoria" star Alexa Demie, per Instagram. Judd Apatow's daughter, Iris Apatow, even debuted Sunnies Face on the red carpet, per Instagram.
The brand took the beauty world by storm in 2018 when founders Martine Ho, Georgina Wilson, Jess Wilson, Bea Soriano-Dee, and Eric Dee released a single lipstick that was so intriguing that it managed to sell out in 10 minutes, per Allure. In fact, the lipstick still manages to sell a lipstick every 30 seconds in the Philippines, per Elle.
For makeup aficionados in the U.S., though, getting their hands on the beloved brand has been difficult — not that import fees have stopped die-hard fans. Sunnies Face shared a few of the ways U.S. fans have tried to get Sunnies Face products; one fan shared on Instagram, "Paid 10k for over baggage fee because I bought all the shades of Fluffmatte and Airblush."
Sunnies Face's Fluffmatte is now available in the US
Ever since its launch in 2018, Sunnies Face has launched a variety of makeup and skincare products but fans still clamor for their flagship product, the Fluffmatte. Per the Sunnies Face website, the Fluffmatte is a "weightless modern matte lipstick" with a "creamy, blendable, and breathable formula [that] wears comfortably on lips with an airy, powdery light finish." Available in 15 shades, the formula is visibly unique in all photos using it as it gives lips a never-seen-before fluffy cushion look that's almost suede.
Offering completely unique products, fans have been begging and pleading for Sunnies Face to become more globally accessible for ages now. Fortunately, if you live in the U.S. you no longer have to lust after every Instagram post you see featuring Sunnies Face. From May 11, 2022, Sunnies Face has become available to shop from the U.S., per Elle. The Fluffmatte's price point is $16.
