Christina Hall's Feud With Tarek El Moussa's New Wife Fully Explained
But we thought they got along so well! As recently as this week, Christina Hall and Heather Rae El Moussa, who married the HGTV star's ex-husband Tarek in October of last year, banded together to support Brayden El Moussa. The 6-year-old ended up in the hospital requiring emergency surgery and in a show of solidarity, both women shared messages declaring that the kids came first and that their blended family was on the same page about co-parenting.
The move came at an especially important time in Hall's life, with her second ex-husband Ant Anstead filing for sole custody of the son they share. The "Christina on the Coast" star has strongly refuted the British TV personality's claims that she doesn't spend enough time with 2-year-old Hudson. But it doesn't hurt that Brayden's step-mom, Heather, seemed to be on her side amid the drama, judging from the "Selling Sunset" star's Instagram post while the tot was sick, noting in part how important it was to present a united front during difficult times.
Meanwhile, other public statements have implied that the women get along well, with Hall sharing that very sentiment before Tarek's second marriage (via Us Weekly). For her part, the Los Angeles-based realtor has admitted to seeking out Hall's counsel on parenting-related issues.
But a recent spat seems to suggest there is trouble in paradise.
Christina Hall and Heather Rae El Moussa got into a heated argument
Tarek El Moussa and Christina Hall seem to be successfully co-parenting their children, Brayden and Taylor, following the exes both remarrying — the mom of three wed Joshua Hall after a brief engagement. But the first sign that something was amiss came in March when it was announced the former couple's show, "Flip or Flop," would come to an end. The New York Post reported the HGTV series became "too intimate" for the exes once El Moussa married Heather. So was tension brewing between the two women in the home renovator's life?
If a fight that seemed to break out at a soccer game this week is any indication, then the answer is "yes." The Daily Mail photographed the two reality stars getting into it while attending Brayden's match, which must have taken place before he fell ill later that day. While we don't know what was being said exactly, judging from the pictures, El Moussa and Hall were at odds over something, with both women looking upset, and the dad of two having to eventually pull his wife away from the altercation.
In fact, the Daily Mail reports things got so heated, Hall's new husband also exchanged words with her ex and the soccer coach had to break up the verbal sparring match.
But where do things stand now, days later?
Brayden's hospitalization seemed to put it all in perspective for the co-parents
The subject that got everyone so upset has not been disclosed by anyone involved. Was Heather Rae El Moussa taking sides in the custody battle that is pitting Christina Hall against Ant Anstead? Did the fight have something to do with "Flip or Flop" ending or was the matter relating to the kids the exes are co-parenting?
We may never know who said what or why a fight broke out in the first place, but now, a joint statement from the families is declaring that everyone is ready to move on. "A personal matter was discussed and has since been resolved. We are focused on co-parenting as a team moving forward," the statement said (via People).
Hall's Instagram Story — as well as that of the Netflix star — also seem to take on new significance in light of the fight. As she said, Brayden's illness was a "wake up call" about what is most important. And so, back to co-parenting, which is never without its various challenges whether the people in question are famous or not.
Joshua Hall is also a factor in all of this
Of course, other than Christina Hall and Tarek El Moussa, as well as Heather Rae El Moussa and Ant Anstead, there is one more person who is attempting to co-parent these three kids and that is Joshua Hall. He is the one non-celebrity in the mix, but it seems the now-public figure is already stepping up to the plate.
His famous wife has been full of compliments for him on her Instagram, writing just before all of the drama that ensued with clashing with the "Selling Sunset" star and her son in the hospital, "I have a man who treats me with unconditional love and respect." She added about her realtor husband, "Standing by me and helping me through these times as I feel like I'm being sucker punched left and right."
For his part, Hall has expressed his desire to stay above the fray and focus on the kids, confiding on his Instagram recently, "Coming from a split home myself, I know it's not easy on youngsters, but in today's world sadly, it's pretty common." He went on to share that his goal is to "save the kids from any unnecessary trauma."
These words may explain why he stood up for his wife on the soccer field as well as why the couple issued the joint statement announcing they planned to move forward after working out their differences with the El Moussas.
