Jill Duggar Dillard Announces Exciting Family News
Having left the world of reality TV behind, Jill Duggar Dillard is busy carving out a happy life away from the TV cameras and away from the stringent rules of the Duggar household. She still appreciates fans' support, however, and keeps them updated on her family's life courtesy of her social media accounts. Through her posts, her followers have witnessed joyous moments: date nights with her husband, Derick; the growth of their sons, Israel and Samuel; Derick's successful graduation from law school. Jill has bravely shared the more heartbreaking times, too: in the fall of 2021, she suffered a miscarriage early in her third pregnancy. "Even though it was too early to tell the baby's gender, we picked a name that we feel encompasses our baby's significance and the life we will always remember: River Bliss Dillard," she wrote.
What a difference a few months can make. 2022 is proving to be an exciting time for the Dillard family. In February, Jill and Derick announced on their blog that they're expecting again. "We are thankful to have a healthy baby boy due in July! Your continued prayers are much appreciated," they wrote. Although the couple had a battle with COVID a few days later, they have since recovered, and "Baby Dilly" is doing fine.
Then, on April 19, Jill offered another bit of exciting news to her fans: Their life is about to change in a big way once again.
The Dillards are finding another home sweet home
"We are moving!" Jill Duggar Dillard announced on her family blog on April 19, 2022. She went on to explain, "We are joining the masses of people who are currently navigating this crazy real estate market ... we are moving!! ... We are moving for a new job Derick recently accepted and are super excited for new adventures!"
It was almost exactly three years ago that the Dillards bought their previous home, seen here. The cozy property in Lowell, Arkansas, was a custom build, and the family was able to witness the construction step by step. Before the walls were finished, Jill and Derek personalized the wood framework with details such as the handprint outlines of Israel and Samuel, and favorite passages from the Bible, such as "This is the day the LORD has made; let us rejoice and be glad in it!" Some of the passages were written in Spanish and Nepali, a tribute to the international mission work Derick did before marrying and entering law school.
Jill didn't disclose the location of their new home, although one of the hashtags she used — "#nwa" — might stand for Northwest Arkansas, meaning that the family isn't moving too far from their current neighborhood. Derick passed his bar exam in February, so it's likely that he was just hired by a law firm. With their third son due in early July, the Dillards will definitely need more room. Hopefully, their new place has a huge backyard!
