Here's Why RuPaul's Drag Race All Stars 7 Cast Has Fans Shook

"RuPaul's Drag Race" has become an empire. The Emmy winning reality competition show that puts drag queens through the wringer with high-stakes challenges has blossomed from the low-budget first season that debuted over a decade ago to the glitzy, expensive, show-stopping program we know today. Now, RuPaul, the mastermind behind the series, has expanded with several spin-off series that take place all over the globe. From Canada to the Philippines, "Drag Race" has taken off.

The show is monumental as it displays a queer art form that lived underground for years and brought it to the mainstream. Fans can't get enough of "Drag Race," with ratings that continue to grow as the seasons progress. Season 14, which debuted in early 2022, brought in the highest ratings the show has seen to date with over 738,000 viewers glued to their TVs as 14 new drag queens entered the infamous workroom (per Deadline).

With a new spinoff recently announced, fans are shocked and excited by what it entails.

The latest season has a special twist

Fans have been anxious for a specific "RuPaul's Drag Race" spinoff season. That, of course, is a season that puts a group of previous season winners against each other to fight for the ultimate crown. Now, fans are getting what they've been asking for. The seventh season of "RuPaul's Drag Race All-Stars" will feature eight queens who have already won the competition once before, going head-to-head for "Drag Race" glory (via Variety).

The cast of queens competing for the ultimate crown include Raja (Season 3), Jinkx Monsoon (Season 5), Monet X Change ("All Stars" 4), Trinity the Tuck ("All Stars" 4), Yvie Oddly (Season 11), Jaida Essence Hall (Season 12), and The Vivienne ("RuPaul's Drag Race UK Season 1), per Entertainment Weekly. The season of winners will kick off on May 20 and can only be streamed on Paramount+. The season debut will include two episodes, as well as an episode of the behind-the-scenes series, "Untucked," because RuPaul loves a multi-part introduction.

Fans couldn't be more excited and are sounding off on Twitter amid the news. One fan said, "Come on RAJA!" and another added that they are rooting for Jinkx, "Challenges in all-stars are super centered in comedy and acting. My respects to all members in the winner circle, but Monsoon season is coming (although Viv will give her a run for her money)," they wrote. Who will be crowned the supreme champion? We'll just all have to wait and see.
