Shahs Of Sunset Has Some Sad News About Its Future
It's always disappointing when your favorite show gets canceled, regardless of whether it's a brand new drop with only one season out or a trusty favorite that you've been in a long-term committed relationship with. The news that a beloved show's run has come to an end is always a major let down. How could the powers that be do this to you when you've been loyal and tuned in every week. It just doesn't make sense.
The world of Bravo is filled with reality TV shows that boast fan bases so loyal that they'd be ready to take on some in-depth trivia any day of the week. Some of the shows are brand new, while others have been on air for years. Take "Shahs of Sunset," for instance. Ever since it first aired in 2012, the show has been a hit. Fans loved tuning in to this uniquely tight-knit group of friends that are more like family. If nothing else, the stars certainly fight as fiercely as family.
This crew likes to spend big and fight even bigger and pursued countless business ventures throughout the 9 seasons of the show. In the process, they sometimes exposed each other's deepest, darkest secrets, per Distractify. There has never been a lack of drama. That was true down to the very last episode of Season 9 when Mike Shouhed announced his breakup, per Daily Mail.
It looks like that tidbit of drama might have to hold fans over from now on...
Shahs of Sunset was allegedly cancelled
The "Shahs of Sunset" has been on hiatus, but the cast has been a hot topic recently thanks to Mike Shouhed. Fans were shocked to hear that Shouhed was arrested amidst accusations of domestic violence and spent the night in jail, per Page Six. His attorney Alex Kessel denied the charges, but Shouhed and the rest of the cast have yet to comment, per People.
When it comes to this crew, the last thing they're going to do is hold their tongues. Fans were ready to watch the details of the arrest unfold in upcoming seasons, including the highly anticipated tenth season. However, it looks like that might not happen; TMZ made the shocking claim that "Shahs of Sunset" has been canceled. A source from the production team allegedly told the publication that the show had "run its course."
The timing of the announcement, within the same week that the news of Shouhed's arrest was revealed, definitely raised a few question marks. Bravo and the "Shahs of Sunset" cast members have yet to confirm the rumor. However, Golnesa 'GG' Gharachedaghi seemingly hinted at it as she teased a project on Twitter. "Oh honey, I'm just getting started! Coming soon," she wrote.
