Kenan Thompson Has Sad Relationship News
Kenan Thompson has become an integral part of the "Saturday Night Live" cast. The sketch comedian has been making us laugh on the show since 2003 and before that, he was starring on Nickelodeon shows like "All That" and "Kenan and Kel" per IMDb.
When it comes to his presence on "Saturday Night Live," he's a legend. According to the Washington Post, the show's executive producer, Lorne Michaels, has nothing but kind words to say. "He's a master in that studio," gushed Michaels. He knows the best way to do just about everything."
Thompson has been on the cast for nearly two decades now, making him the longest-running cast member in "SNL" history, per Deadline. He has no plans of going anywhere, calling the show that films at New York City studio 8H his "forever."
Thompson has become one of the most beloved fixtures in comedy but recently, he shared some sad news about his off-screen relationship.
Thompson and his wife have reportedly separated
"Saturday Night Live" isn't the only long-term relationship Kenan Thompson has had. He and his wife, Christina Evangeline, had been married since 2011, per In Touch Weekly. They were introduced by talent manager Danny Estrada and the rest was history. The couple lived a quiet but seemingly happy life with their two daughters, Georgia and Gianna.
However, news recently broke that the couple had called it quits, per TMZ. While the couple had appeared to be together, they had been separated for at least one year. They may not have been together romantically, they both still have a hand in raising their daughters.
Neither Thompson nor Evangeline have released any statements regarding their separation, but according to TMZ, a source close to the couple shared the details of their separation. It seems Thompson has been spending more time in Hollywood filming his new show "Kenan," than in New York with his family.
As of now, no divorce papers have been submitted to the courts, but the papers are expected to be filed soon.
