Did Kendall Jenner Throw Some Subtle Shade At Kanye West?
After months of making headlines for one-sided feuds with celebrities like Kid Cudi, Trevor Noah, and, most frequently, his ex-wife, Kim Kardashian, and her new boyfriend, Pete Davidson, Kanye West is currently in the news cycle for a different reason. In fact, Instagram temporarily banned West due to one of these feuds. Recently, TMZ also revealed that West will no longer headline the upcoming Coachella festival this year. The rapper reportedly pulled out of the show to focus on his health.
Still, a source told Page Six, "Kanye is backing out because he wants to stay out of the public eye after all the drama with Kim and Pete; he wants to get help."
Despite the "Stronger" rapper cancelling his performance less than two weeks before the start of the festival, Swedish House Mafia and the Weeknd agreed to replace West's Sunday night slot (via People). When the latter shared the exciting news on his Instagram feed, thousands of his fans took to his comment section to express their joy, as well as potentially unexpected shade aimed at West from Kendall Jenner.
Kendall Jenner is excited to see the Weekend at Coachella
In response to the Weekend's Instagram post showcasing that he will replace Kanye West at Coachella, supermodel Kendall Jenner commented a praying hands emoji. Considering the constant complications between West and Kim Kardashian, as reported by BuzzFeed News, followers of the famous family believe this comment may have been intended as shade to her former brother-in-law. One user replied to Jenner's comment, "Yass, Kendall, no holding back," while another wrote, "Kinda love you for this," with a crying face emoji.
The KarJenners are known for being a close-knit family, and have already proved that they're team Pete Davidson. A source close to the "Keeping up with the Kardashians" stars told E! News, "Pete is getting close with Kim's family and they really like him." They added that the reality stars "love this new relationship for Kim and the way he treats her."
Davidson most recently met Kardashian's former stepmom, Caitlyn Jenner, who sang praises of the "Saturday Night Live" star (via Us Magazine). Even Caitlyn admitted her previously solid relationship with West has soured since his recent attacks on Kardashian. She said, "[West] says some things, especially towards the family. Obviously, I'm on the family's side." Though she added that she wants him to be well and would be happy to see him in the future.
