Why Carrie Underwood's Personal Trainer Should Have Won A Grammy
Carrie Underwood is no stranger to the Grammys. Over the years, the legendary country singer has won seven Grammy Awards in categories like best country solo performance and best new artist, just to name a few (via AceShowbiz).
Fans were excited to hear that Underwood would be performing at the 2022 broadcast. Before the ceremony, Underwood hit the red carpet in a gorgeous gold gown by Dolce and Gabbana (via People). Then, the "Before He Cheats" singer was not only slated to perform during the show but was also nominated for yet another award.
Underwood ultimately took home her eighth Grammy Award for her latest album release, a gospel album titled "My Savior" (via Taste of Country). The winner of the category was announced during the pre-show, so fans may have missed it. She was also up for an award with Jason Aldean for their duet, "If I Didn't Love You," but the duo didn't take home this statue.
However, it was Underwood's performance of her latest song that had fans talking — and not because of her powerful, beautiful vocals.
Carrie Underwood's legs were Twitter's favorite topic after the Grammys
Carrie Underwood debuted the live performance of her new song, "Ghost Story," on the music industry's biggest stage (via Entertainment Tonight). The artist who got her start by winning "American Idol" wowed fans with her beautiful vocals, but fans were left talking about more than just her talents.
Underwood wowed the world with her incredible leg muscles. While this was only the debut of her song and not her legs — they also looked stunning at the American Country Music Awards — many couldn't help but appreciate them (via Women's Health). In fact, fans thought her personal trainer deserved an award for how good she looked.
Fans immediately took to Twitter to discuss the country singer's physique. Tweets on the subject included one fan saying, "Carrie Underwood does not skip Leg Day," with another fan chiming in, "CARRIES LEGS," keeping it short, sweet, and to the point. Another stated, "Carrie Underwood [is] out here squatting 850lbs while dropping new tracks in the studio. She [is] about to pop a positive for [performance enhancing drugs] backstage at the Grammys." Of course, the latter is a joke and actually celebratory of her leg work, not criticism of it.
According to Shape, Underwood has been working with personal trainer Eve Overland for many years, with Overland telling the outlet that Underwood loves being active — and finds time for it no matter what. With how good she looked at the Grammys, we aren't surprised!
