The Vanderpump Rules Star Who Was In The Young And The Restless
Some of the most memorable characters in "Vanderpump Rules" history didn't even last that long on the show. As Us Weekly notes, by the third season, several people had already come and gone, with the likes of Frank Herlihy, Kristina Kelly, Laura-Leigh, and Faith Stowers all hanging up their SUR uniforms and heading off to pastures new.
Lisa Vanderpump made it clear from the beginning she didn't intend for any of her staff to stay permanently, so it isn't too surprising that several former "Pump Rules" stars went on to have genuine acting careers. Notably, Laura-Leigh, who had a storyline on the show about leaving to do a movie ("We're the Millers," opposite Jennifer Aniston and Jason Sudeikis).
And, in the years since, she's popped up in the likes of "Under the Silver Lake" and "Blue Bloods." However, Laura-Leigh isn't the only former SURver who swapped her reality career for starring roles in more traditional productions. In fact, one alum had already broken through when she appeared on the show.
Vail Bloom played Heather Stevens on a hit soap opera
As Distractify notes, Vail Bloom was a one season wonder on "Vanderpump Rules," but she made her mark thanks to a short dalliance with resident lothario Jax Taylor (who was trying to win back ex Stassi Schroeder at the time). Bloom brought some star power to the show, since she'd already had some success in Hollywood. The Princeton graduate enjoyed a recurring role on "The Young and the Restless," as Heather Stevens, from 2007 until 2010.
Lawyer Heather was the daughter of "Y&R" stalwarts April Stevens (Cindy Eilbacher) and Paul Williams (Doug Davidson). Bloom was actually Emmy-nominated for the role, in 2008. The popular character was recast twice after she left the show, with Eden Riegel taking over until 2012, followed by Jennifer Landon after that.
However, per Radar Online, it wasn't all glamorous. Bloom also struggled during her initial time in the spotlight, admitting, "I was on 'The Young And The Restless' for just under three years, and I was starting to get into this whole like ...what seemed like the Hollywood lifestyle, and I was starting to get into a little bit of trouble with drugs."
Bloom has continued acting since saying goodbye to "Vanderpump Rules," appearing in movies like "Surviving the Wild" and "The Ghost Beyond," among others.
The Vanderpump Rules alum was once linked to a Hollywood A-lister
In 2015, former "Vanderpump Rules" star Vail Bloom was linked to none other than Chris Pine. As E! News reported at the time, the two were spotted kissing while enjoying a meal together out in Los Angeles. They also went shopping in full view of the paparazzi. Pine had been briefly linked to "The Hills" star Audrina Patridge shortly beforehand, so he seemed to be developing a taste for reality stars. Radar Online even speculated that their romance was the real reason Bloom left the show.
As Bravo's Daily Dish reported, Bloom has since moved on and welcomed two children. Daughter Charlie was born in 2018, followed by a son in 2020. She hasn't revealed the children's father, or her boy's name. During her first pregnancy, though, Bloom was allegedly stalked by ex-boyfriend Hayes Stuppy, who sent her a deluge of emails and showed up at her house uninvited on numerous occasions. The former reality star was eventually granted a restraining order against him.
Thankfully, although Bloom keeps things mostly private these days, it seems she's doing well both personally and professionally.
