Which Bridgerton Sibling Will Take Center Stage In Season 3?
"Bridgerton" is still one of Netflix's hottest shows, and fans can't seem to get enough. The first season was a smash hit as it followed Daphne Bridgerton (Phoebe Denevor) on her journey to find love with The Duke of Hastings, Simon Bassett (Rege-Jean Page), per BuzzFeed. Viewers were glued to their screens as they watched the couple's passionate and heated love story unfold.
In Season 2, Daphne's oldest brother, Anthony Bridgerton (Jonathan Bailey) set out to find a wife for himself. Anthony set his sights on the new season's "diamond" Edwina Sharma (Charithra Chandran), but it was her older sister, Kate (Simone Ashley), who ended up capturing his attention and proved to be a challenge (via PopSugar). Anthony certainly met his match, and fans already can't wait to see what Season 3 of the series will hold.
Since the series is based on the novels by author Julia Quinn, some fans assume that Season 3 of "Bridgerton" will follow Benedict Bridgerton's (Luke Thompson) story (via Netflix Life). However, the upcoming season may follow a much different plan.
Shonda Rhimes made a surprising confession about the future of Bridgerton
According to Netflix Life, the third book in the "Bridgerton" series — titled "An Offer From a Gentleman" — focuses on the second-oldest sibling Benedict Bridgerton's quest to find love. However, that doesn't mean that Season 3 of the Netflix series will necessarily follow his story. Executive producer Shonda Rhimes told Entertainment Tonight that the series may get a shake-up. Although she confirmed that there is a plan to tell each of the siblings' love stories, the order may differ from the books.
"We're not necessarily going in order but we are going to be seeing each of the siblings and their stories," Rhimes said. She also confessed that she's already working on Season 3, but refused to reveal which family member would be the focus of the upcoming episodes, calling the matter a "spoiler" for viewers.
Fans hoping to see more of Benedict's life may be forced to wait if another of his siblings takes center stage in Season 3. However, it's hopeful that each of their stories will be revealed in future seasons if Netflix continues to renew the much-loved period drama.
