General Hospital Alum Christopher Tyler Has An Exciting Project In The Works
"General Hospital" fans got their hopes up in January 2022 when Tyler Christopher, the actor who brought Nikolas Cassadine to life off and on for more than two decades, shared a photo to Instagram of himself on a set with the caption, "New look in studio."
While nobody knew what set he was on, many thought it might be "GH" because former co-star Maurice Benard (Sonny Corinthos) had advertised that Christopher would also appear on his YouTube mental health show "Maurice Benard: State of Mind."
Although the Christopher episode of "State of Mind" has still not dropped — but is set to on March 27, 2022, as of this writing — we do now know what project the actor was working on back in January when he first shared that photo.
The actor, who last appeared on daytime as Stefan O. DiMera on "Days Of Our Lives" in 2018, is making a new feature film.
Tyler Christopher lands a movie role
Tyler Christopher had dropped out of sight for a while after abruptly leaving the role of Stefan DiMera with no explanation, leaving "Days Of Our Lives" to recast the role with Brandon Barash. In November 2019, TMZ reported that the actor had been arrested for public intoxication in Martinsville, Indiana, on his 47th birthday.
Instagram photos reveal the actor living life outside Hollywood and being a proud dad since then. But, on Jan. 24, 2022, he shared the movie set photo, and, one day later, he posted a snap of himself in a pair of shades with the caption, "What's up, LA? Missed ya."
Now Variety reports that Christopher will appear in the movie adaptation of the play "Murder, Anyone?" by the late playwright Gordon Bressack, who wrote such animated series as "Pinky and the Brain" and "Animaniacs." His son, James Cullen Bressack, will direct the film.
Christopher has been cast as Richard, according to IMDb, and it looks like the actor is well on his way to making a comeback.
