Kyle From Love Is Blind Reveals His Biggest Regret About The Show
Season 2 of the Netflix reality hit "Love is Blind" once again saw couples get engaged without ever actually seeing each other — and get married almost immediately afterwards. Although, for some viewers, the second season was depressingly toxic this time around. Most of the couples were in arguments, love triangles, and disingenuous relationships. However, the finale gave fans the closure they so desired, in which favorites like Deepti Vempati and Natalie Mina Lee chose themselves over relationships that did not serve them. Some couples, however, did not make it to the altar at all and we're only seeing them now, at the reunion.
Kyle Abrams was one of those contestants, and proposed to Shaina Hurley in the beginning of the season. The two eventually broke off their engagement after Hurley brought up their religious incompatibility, leaving Abrams feeling led on. At the reunion that aired in March 2022, Abrams opened up about how watching it all pan out on screen made him feel, and also divulged his biggest regret about being on the show.
Kyle from Love is Blind had regrets about who he proposed to
For the second season of "Love is Blind," Kyle Abrams was mainly given air time to show his relationship with Shaina Hurley. The two had a shaky engagement that ended with Hurley realizing she needed someone who believed in her religion. At the reunion, Abrams confronted her. "If you were so certain from the beginning, you should've never have said yes to me ... You wasted my time," he asserted.
Hurley, in turn, apologized, saying,"It was a people-pleasing moment and I should've never said yes to you. And I own that. And I'm very sorry that I said yes. I should've never said yes," (via Netflix)
Abrams then revealed something that shocked most viewers. "I have a huge regret. The biggest regret is I should have asked Deepti to marry me ... That was what I learned the most. I f***** up, I f***** up." Looking over at contestant Deepti Vempati, he added, "I should've tried harder for you. I mean, I love her [Deepti] so much, she's the best. And I wish I saw what was right in front of me ... That's my biggest regret."
Fans were flabbergasted at this reveal since Abrams and Deepti didn't really have a significant romance onscreen. "I never imagined Deepti and Kyle being a thing. My jaw dropped when Kyle confessed to Deepi during the reunion of love is blind. Now I see myself shipping them. They both deserved better," one viewer tweeted.
