Who Did LeAnn Rimes Play On Days Of Our Lives?
LeAnn Rimes is best known for her amazing singing voice. The country music star shot to fame as a teenager when she impressed fans with her singing chops, and later hit it big with tunes such as "Blue," "I Need You," "How Do I Live," and "Can't Fight the Moonlight" (via The Boot). However, she's also proven herself to be an actress over the years, making appearances in films such as "Coyote Ugly," "Northern Lights," "Holiday In Your Heart," "It's Christmas, Eve," and more.
Rimes and her current husband, actor Eddie Cibrian, even previously had their very own reality TV series together titled "LeAnn & Eddie," according to People. The show only ran for one season, but it gave fans a glimpse into the couple's life together as they navigated marriage, their careers, and family life with Cibrian's two sons. Rimes has also appeared on the reality singing competition "The Masked Singer," which she won dressed in an elaborate sun costume, per Today.
However, what many fans don't know is that Rimes actually got her start in acting when she landed a role on the popular daytime soap opera "Days of Our Lives."
LeAnn Rimes played the role of Madison on Days of Our Lives
According to Country Music Nation, LeAnn Rimes may be best known for her music. However, when she was just 16-years-old she also broke into the acting business when she landed a role on the NBC soap opera "Days of Our Lives." Rimes only appeared in one episode of "DOOL," but fans took notice. The singer portrayed a character named Madison, a teenage runaway who shared most of her onscreen moments with actor Jensen Ackle, who played the role of Eric Brady at the time.
Although Rimes only appeared in one episode of the sudser, her appearance led to tabloid speculation after singer Jessica Simpson hinted Ackles, whom she was dating at the time, had cheated on her with Rimes while they worked together on the soap (via Contact Music).
Years later, Simpson admitted on her MTV reality series "Newlyweds" with ex-husband Nick Lachey, that an actor on "DOOL," who turned out to be Ackles, had broken her heart when he dated Rimes while also professing his love to her. However, Rimes later disputed those rumors. "We were friends, but there was no real dating. He's a great guy, but there was no cheating."
Following Rimes stint on "DOOL," she went on to make other TV appearances in shows like "Drop Dead Diva" and "Anger Management," but it was "Days of Our Lives" where she first got to showcase her acting ability.
