Reality star Demi Burnett is no stranger to putting herself out there, having appeared on Colton Underwood's season of "The Bachelor," as well as seasons 6 and 7 of "Bachelor in Paradise" (via Cheatsheet). But now, the Texas native is sharing even more intimate details about her life with her fans.
In a new Instagram post, Burnett announced she has been diagnosed with autism (via Page Six). The star shared a series of images with her brave disclosure, with the first photo being a selfie and subsequent slides offering information about autism traits and how to support an autistic person, among other bullet points about the spectrum disorder (via AutismSpeaks.org).
Burnett started her caption to the carousel of images by warning that what she was about to share may be triggering for some people. Then, the 26-year-old said, "I did a psychological evaluation and I'm autistic." She went on to write, "There is a huge stigma when it comes to autism. I encourage you to be open minded and accepting."
