This The Bold And The Beautiful Star Has A New Lifetime Movie In The Works

The CBS soap opera "The Bold and the Beautiful" knows how to bring the drama every day. While viewers have come to expect familiar storylines and characters — how many times have Brooke (Katherine Kelly Lang) and Ridge (Thorsten Kaye) called it quits now? — they also know the long-running series also adds new characters to stir up conflict every now and then. Not to mention, the show brings back old characters to cause drama, too.

That's been the case with Deacon Sharpe (Sean Kanan), a character who first appeared on "The Bold and the Beautiful" from 2000 to 2005 before moving to "The Young and The Restless" in 2009, according to Soaps In Depth. Since then, Deacon has popped up a couple of more times on "The Bold and the Beautiful" — most recently returning in October 2021. He and Brooke once had a passionate affair that produced their daughter, Hope, and now, it seems as though history might repeat itself.

Viewers longing to see more of the chisel-jawed actor on their screens simply have to turn the channel, as Kanan recently appeared in the Lifetime TV movie "Killer Ambition."

The Lifetime movie was directed by a former soap star

"Killer Ambition" debuted on the Lifetime Movie Network in January 2022 and stars "The Bold and the Beautiful" actor Sean Kanan, but that's not the movie's only connection to soap operas. It was also directed by former "Passions," "All My Children," and "Days of Our Lives" star Lindsay Hartley, with whom Kanan shares a manager, according to Soap Opera Digest

In the thriller, Kanan plays a previously absent dad who returns to his daughter's life at the same time she becomes the target of some highly suspicious attacks. Kanan told Soap Opera Digest "Killer Ambition" was a "fun movie" to work on. "I've got a great role in it and I don't want to give too much away, but it has a wicked sense of humor," the actor added.

He told Soap Hub he especially enjoyed being directed by Hartley. "She's an actress so it's easy to talk to her as a director. She understands actors — how we think, how we work. She's done more than a couple of these films. It was a really good experience."

"Killer Ambition" is currently available for streaming through LMN
