Since her incredible talent has gained her a legion of devoted fans worldwide, Adele has built up some huge expectations along the way. Unfortunately, some fans experienced crushing disappointment when the singer canceled her Las Vegas shows in early 2022. Although, the singer did later arrange for a video call with fans who had already arrived in Vegas before the event's last-minute cancellation. Along with the video chat, Adele also arranged for the disappointed ticket holders to receive bags of merchandise, CNN reported.

Still reeling from the loss of an opportunity to see Adele live in person, many fans may have been surprised to learn that the Grammy award-winner would be performing live in the United Kingdom. In an Instagram post uploaded a week before the 2022 Brit Awards, Adele shared her excitement about the upcoming performance (via Today). According to The Daily Mail, a source close to the singer said, "Adele loves the Brits. It's where she feels at home." But, how did her fans react to news of her hometown performance?

Fans had questions about Adele's Brit Awards appearance

Besides taking to the mic for her acceptance speeches, Adele also performed "I Drink Wine" from her album "30." However, she did not choose to use her platform at the awards ceremony to speak about the recently canceled Las Vegas shows. According to The Daily Mail, some fans took to social media to express their frustrations. "So Adele can't manage her concerts in Vegas, which by the way cost the earth, but she can turn up to the Brits where she's won awards and is basically headlining the show," wrote one unhappy fan.

Fans are understandably disappointed about the Las Vegas cancellations, with some having spent thousands on airfare and accommodations, per The Daily Mail. Hopefully, the shows will be rescheduled eventually so that fans will be able to experience the brilliance of Adele. But for now, at least, fans will just have to wait and see.
