Claire Holt Reveals The One Scene From The Originals That Made Her Shiver - Exclusive

Fans have seen Rebekah Mikaelson in "The Vampire Diaries," "The Originals," and "Legacies," and now, there's no guessing where this immortal will pop up next. Yet, it seems safe to say that we'll be seeing her again very soon. After all, playing her is like going home to actor Claire Holt. "I feel like when I get to go back, it's not like stepping into the shoes of a stranger," she explained during an exclusive interview with The List. "It's like stepping into the shoes of an old friend."

At this point, playing the iconic character has become second nature to Holt. We've seen Rebekah in three different shows, throughout hundreds of different time periods, and been with her firsthand during some of the most difficult moments in her life. While the actor who plays her has loads of memories, "There's one that totally sticks out," she told us. This specific scene from "The Originals" is one that left shivers down her spine — literally.

Claire Holt could never go back to the cold after filming The Originals

The scene that sticks out the most to actor Claire Holt is one she's been thinking about ever since her recent trip to Chicago, Illinois. "Because it was so cold," she told The List.

A few years ago, the cast of "The Originals" was spending the day shooting at a famous asylum in Milledgeville, Georgia. Yet, the location wasn't the scariest part. "It was 12 degrees outside," Holt described. "And I was not dressed for 12 degrees, because I think that the time we were shooting for was, like, fall or something."

Yet, like any other professional actor, she was determined to make the best of it — until the scene that day called for her to lie down on the cold, hard ground. "I'd just been staked," she explained. "And just trying not to move, because I was supposed to be dead."

While she did her best to lie still, the cameras captured something else entirely. "They were like, 'Claire, we can see you shivering,'" she laughed. "I'm like, 'I don't know what to do, guys. I'm so sorry. It's freezing.'"

In that moment, she definitely needed one of Rebekah Mikaelson's fabulous coats.
