Rihanna And A$AP Rocky Have Exciting Family News
They may be two of the hottest stars in music, but Rihanna and A$AP Rocky continue to keep their relationship private. As Harper's Bazaar details, the two superstars first joined forces all the way back in 2012 on a remix of Rihanna's saucy single "Cockiness (I Love It)," which is all about how proud she is of being dominant in the bedroom. Rocky later opened for Rihanna during the singer's Diamonds World Tour, but in subsequent years, they both dated other people.
The former collaborators remained friendly, with Rocky attending Rihanna's Diamond Balls in 2018 and 2019, and proudly wearing her Fenty fashion label while accompanying the "S&M" singer to the 2019 London Fashion Awards. Although, romance rumors didn't circulate until the following year, after Rihanna split from her long-term partner, Hassan Jameel. Representatives reiterated Rihanna was single, but insiders purporting to be close to the singer confirmed she was dating Rocky casually, without feeling the need to "put a label on it," per a report in The Sun.
It wasn't until the end of 2020 that a source finally confirmed their relationship to People. And, although they've been spotted out and about together many times, as well as on various red carpets, the pair tend to keep details of their love life away from the public eye. However, Rihanna and Rocky have got some exciting family news that's a little harder to conceal.
Rihanna and A$AP Rocky made a surprise announcement
According to People, Rihanna and A$AP Rocky are expecting their first child together. The happy news was confirmed in the most Rihanna way possible, as the beloved singer strutted around New York City in a long, pink jacket casually left open at the bottom to reveal her baby bump. Naturally, she accessorized with a giant, bejeweled cross. It's worth noting temperatures are pretty low in the Big Apple at the moment, so Rihanna's commitment to both fashion and the pregnancy announcement is pretty impressive. Although, TMZ confirmed the couple didn't stay outside for too long.
Despite the happy couple tending to keep things mostly under wraps, Rocky previously gushed to GQ that the "Diamonds" singer is the "love of my life" and "the one." The rapper also discussed how complete he feels now the two have found each other, noting that life is "so much better when you got 'the one.'"
The "Praise the Lord" hit-maker also previously described becoming a father as part of his "destiny." Rocky opined, "I think I'd be an incredible, remarkably overall amazing dad. I would have a very fly child. Very." Rihanna, meanwhile, admitted to British Vogue in March 2020 that she was "realizing life is really short" and planned to have children within the next decade.
