Is Aveeno Face Moisturizer Worth It?

While it's difficult to find a solid skincare routine for dry or oily skin types, those with combination skin can have an even rougher time at finding the perfect balance. As Web MD notes, combination skin means that you are often oily in some areas, while dry in others. Oil tends to accumulate in problem areas like the T-zone and chin, while dryness can accumulate under the eyes (via Eucerin) or around the nose, per Byrdie

Combination skin can be particular hard to cater for when it comes to moisturising, too. You don't want a product that's too oily, but then again you don't want something that will inevitably dry out your skin even more. Thankfully, there are brands out there that cater specifically to combination skin types — and that includes Aveeno.

As a brand focused on using natural ingredients, Aveeno's moisturisers tend to be more calming for the skin. And it seems that one moisturiser of theirs in particular is definitely worth the hype.

Aveeno's Positively Radiant Moisturiser is a must for combination skin

Aveeno's Positively Radiant moisturiser has an average of 4.4 stars out of 5 on the brand's website, with many citing its light and creamy texture as well as it being suited to sensitive and combination skin. An in-depth review of the product by Byrdie came to a similar conclusion, with the reviewer explaining how hard it is to find a moisturiser that makes their "combination skin feel balanced and hydrated" but this specific moisturiser "did just that."

For those with oily-prone T-zones, Aveeno's Postively Radiant moisturiser left Byrdie's reviewer with a "hydrated, non-oily finish" that stayed matte and worked well under foundation. The only qualm they had was that it was "not ideal for drier skin types." Other reviews on Aveeno's website have cited the fragrance of the moisturiser as a dealbreaker, with one customer writing that it gave them a "splitting headache." Some customers with sensitive skin also reported that it left a burning sensation immediately after being put on the skin, so there's that to look out for as well.
