Here's Why You Recognize NCIS: Hawai'i's Jesse Boone

If you think the cast of "NCIS: Hawai'i" looks familiar, it's because the cast is full of actors that are making big names for themselves right now. According to CBS, the latest "NCIS" series in the franchise — it joined the likes of the original series and other local branches of the organization such as "NCIS: New Orleans" and "NCIS: Los Angeles" — and follows both native islanders and agents from the mainland as they fight to protect Hawaii from national security threats.

"NCIS: Hawai'i" is the franchise's first series to be led by a woman agent, portrayed by Vanessa Lachey, a landmark move in the series but one that comes nearly two decades into the franchise's tenure on television (via Parade). Other cast members outside of Lachey's Jane Tennant include Alex Tarrant as Kai Holman, Yasmine Al-Bustami as Lucy Tara, Jason Antoon as Ernie Malik, and Noah Mills as Jesse Boone (via IMDb). What fans may have wrong about "NCIS: Hawai'i" is where they've seen these stars before, but for Mills as Jesse Boone, there are a few distinct projects in which you may have met him before.

Noah Mills' career has included both fashion runways and Marvel work

Some "NCIS" stars have committed crimes in real life, but this isn't why you recognize Noah Mills as Jesse Boone in the "Hawai'i" spinoff series. Instead, you may recognize him from one of his prior projects. According to IMDb, Mills' acting credits date back to 2010 with his first gig being none other than "Sex and the City 2," and from there he went on to appear in the music video for Taylor Swift's hit song "We Are Never Ever Getting Back Together" from her album "Red."

However, if you don't recognize him from these older roles, you may think he looks familiar from his work in early 2021. He appeared as Nico in the Marvel Cinematic Universe series "The Falcon and the Winter Soldier" on Disney+. After all, Marvel films and series garner more views than a lot of other programs. IMDb further notes that Mills is particularly known for his work on "2 Broke Girls," on which he recurred in the role of Robbie from 2011-2012.

According to Sight Management, Mills hails from Canada and began a modeling career in 2003 before turning to acting in 2010. He went on to work for Gucci and Michael Kors, among other high-end names, so you could potentially recognize him from runways if those are something you watch. For now, though, he remains a beloved agent on "NCIS: Hawai'i."
