Here's What We Know About 90 Day Fiancé's David And Annie Spinoff
For United States citizens who find love abroad, bringing their partner home with them can be a long and tedious process. Paperwork must be filed in order to obtain a K-1 Visa, and a marriage must occur within 90 days of bringing a foreign future spouse into the country (via Travel.State.Gov). TLC's hit series "90 Day Fiancé" follows couples throughout the often stressful process. One of those couples is David and Annie.
David, a 48-year-old man from Kentucky met Annie, a 24-year-old Thai woman, during a trip to Thailand. They met in a karaoke bar when David was charmed by the young woman's performance (via TLC). Cameras followed David and Annie in the months leading up to their wedding, and viewers watched as the couple struggled through conflict surrounding David's financial status as well as allegations that he was cheating on his fiancé and experience problems with substance abuse (via Reality TV World). Both David and Annie's families had trouble accepting their union.
Despite all of the issues that arose along the way, the couple persisted and were wed by the end of their season. Fans were so fascinated by the pair that they joined the ranks of "90 Day Fiancé" alums who have been given their own spinoff series. The series, which will premiere on TLC on January 10, follows David and Annie's latest adventure together, according to People, and here's what we know so far.
David and Annie are going on a new adventure
When Annie agreed to marry David, she committed to leaving her family in her home country of Thailand to start a new life in America. This presented challenges for the young Thai woman, but, according to People, fans will soon be able to watch Annie reunite with some of her family members in front of the cameras filming the spinoff. The new series will be called "David & Annie: After the 90 Days."
Throughout the spinoff, David and Annie will travel to Thailand and bring Annie's brother, Jordan, 14, and cousin, Amber, 16, back to the United States with them. In the previews, it's made clear that "David & Annie: After the 90 Days" will be filled with just as much drama, if not more, that viewers are used to seeing from the couple. At one point, Annie's brother seems resistant to traveling back to his sister's new home, and in another seen Annie is seen crying and saying to her husband, "I tried to hold on and be strong and I can't do this anymore. I can't" (via YouTube).
Be sure to tune in on January 10 to see how things unfold for these lovebirds. It's sure to be filled with tons of highs and lows in true "90 Day Fiancé" fashion.
