Double Shot At Love Season 4: Release Date, Cast, And New Details
The "Jersey Shore" cast has grown up considerably since leaving the shore behind, with weddings and babies proliferating amongst the previously wild group. However, perennial bachelors Vinny Guadagnino and "Pauly D" DelVecchio resisted the urge to settle down to the extent the lovable duo was gifted their very own dating show, "Double Shot at Love." Debuting in 2019, per IMDb, it quickly gained traction with long-time fans of "Jersey Shore" in general and the boys in particular.
Although DelVecchio seemed the less likely of the two to find love, as People notes, he met Nikki Hall, the woman who would become his girlfriend, on the very first season of the show. Hall worked hard to prove herself to the popular DJ, and the couple has been going strong ever since, hence why they turned their attention to finding Guadagnino a partner in Season 3. Although the "Jersey Shore" fan favorite did end the season coupled up with someone, there's still potential for another shot at love.
When can fans expect Season 4 of Double Shot at Love?
As Cheat Sheet notes, Vinny Guadagnino finished Season 3 of "Double Shot at Love" with Akielia "AK" Rucker by his side. However, just one day after the finale aired, the "Jersey Shore" star took to social media to confirm they were no longer together. "The finale you watched last night was filmed seven months ago. 'AK' and I have kept in touch. We are not in a relationship, but I now consider her a friend because she's cool AF," Guadagnino explained plainly on his Instagram Stories.
However, despite Guadagnino's dodgy dating track record, he still believes in the format, admitting, "I always do these shows with an open heart and mind to meet my person." The reality star also confirmed, "I'm always down to take the shot!" We can therefore reasonably assume Guadagnino would be interested in continuing with the show, though nothing has been confirmed just yet, per Premiere Date and Next Season TV.
Considering "Jersey Shore: Family Vacation" returns in January 2022, "Double Shot" could be filming right now. However, there was a year-long gap between the end of Season 2 and the start of Season 3, per IMDb, so there could be a bit of a wait for Season 4.
Who will be looking for love on Season 4 of Double Shot at Love?
Given his openness to take another double shot, and the fact things didn't work out with the Season 3 winner, it seems highly likely that Vinny Guadagnino will be back leading the charge for a fourth season of "Double Shot at Love." In an interview prior to the third season airing, via Twitter, Guadagnino acknowledged he's the only single "Jersey Shore" cast-member left and it's "starting to be [his] time to find somebody." However, he's also learned what not to do from his roommates' dramatic journeys to romance.
According to Cheat Sheet, fans weren't impressed with Guadagnino's latest "Double Shot" pick, even suggesting he's afraid of commitment and chose the wrong woman on purpose. Luckily, Pauly "Pauly D" DelVecchio and Nikki Hall will also likely be back to assist him again. The DJ enthused in an interview with People, ahead of Season 3, "Nikki and I, we've actually been through this process. So you get to see us actually take this kid's hand and walk him through the dating process, and what that's actually like."
What else do we know about Double Shot at Love Season 4?
Most of us couldn't imagine finding love on a show like "Double Shot at Love" but, according to producer SallyAnn Salsano, it's a great opportunity — particularly for celebrities. In an interview with The Wrap, Salsano argued reality TV is actually one of the safest environments in which to fall in love, because participants are so heavily vetted in advance. She explained, "All of your options, you know who they are. They are who they say they are." As a result, you're not taking the same chance you would be on a dating app, or even in a bar. The setting might seem out there but, according to Salsano, "As crazy as it sounds and as crazy as it looks, it actually kind of works."
Vinny Guadagnino clearly agrees. He told Hollywood Life, in an interview promoting Season 3, "As long as I'm single, I'm ready to try it again as many times as possible." The reality star reasoned, "It may be a place you end up meeting the person of your dreams, or it just may not be. I had all these people around me trying to help me out, so I'm going to accept it and go for the ride." As for what he's looking for in a partner, Guadagnino needs somebody whose values align with his and who can fit into his jet-setting lifestyle. Until he finds her, we're in for plenty more double shots at love.
