The Truth About Lisa Rinna's Reunion With Days Of Our Lives Co-Stars
Fans may know Lisa Rinna as one of the stars of Bravo's "Real Housewives of Beverly Hills," but "Days of Our Lives" viewers will always remember the actress as Billie Reed. Billie was a character that first debuted in 1992 and is the daughter of longtime "DOOL" fan-favorite Kate Roberts (Lauren Koslow). During her time on the show, Reed's character entered into a romance with Bo Brady (Peter Reckell), and had plenty of dramatic storylines, per Soap Central.
This year, Rinna decided to revisit her former soap opera character when she was tapped to reprise the role of Billie in Peacock's limited spin-off series, "Days of Our Lives: Beyond Salem." Of course, Rinna was excited to return to her soap roots, per Today. "I hold a special place in my heart for Billie Reed, and I love her probably — I'm closer to her than any character I've ever played, and it's always fun to go back and revisit her," the reality star said. "I really appreciate that training that I got 30 years ago because once you do a soap opera, you can pretty much do anything," she stated, adding that working on "DOOL" prepared her to "be professional," which benefited her throughout her entire career.
Of course, Rinna was also excited to reunite with some of her former co-stars
Rinna and her former co-stars seemed to have a blast together
Lisa Rinna reportedly was happy to reunite with her former "Days of Our Lives” co-stars to film the new limited series "Beyond Salem" this year. Although Rinna's character, Billie Reed, had been off the show for quite some time, the actress seemingly fell right back into the role, and into her friendships with the cast, per E! News. "Our director had to begin every direction with, 'Shut up! You can catch up with each other later, but now I need you to do these things,'" longtime "DOOL” actress Deidre Hall revealed. "We were just hungry for news about each other, so we just ended up gabbing too much."
Meanwhile, Rinna also got to reunite with her fellow "Real Housewives of Beverly Hills" star Eileen Davidson, who also joined the show to reprise her former character of Kristen DiMera. "Kristen is up to her old tricks, and she's as devious as ever," Davidson told TVLine. "I had a lot of fun working with Lisa, and we were able to revisit our friendship off screen and have some fun on screen, too. There's even a 'Real Housewives' wink-wink in Episode 4 for the audience. Lisa and I had such a blast, and we decided it wasn't long enough. We wanted to do more."
It seems that Rinna and the cast had a blast together filming the limited series, but only time will tell if fans will see Billie pop up again in the future.
