How To Get Rid Of Coffee Stains
Plenty of us love coffee. And with our love of coffee comes the dreadful coffee stain. Imagine you're walking to your office early Monday morning with your cup of joe, and you slightly stumble on the sidewalk. Your jug of coffee splashes on your shirt, and now you have a huge coffee stain — what do you do?
Fortunately, there are ways to remove coffee stains, but they might be a bit time-consuming, per Reader's Digest. "Coffee can easily stain clothing (and teeth) because it contains tannin — a color-rich, naturally occurring dye found in many plants — tea, red wine, and chocolate included," Lindsey Boyd, co-founder of The Laundress, told the outlet. So it may take a couple of tries to get it out of your shirts and/or pants.
The first step is to act fast. Grab some detergent, vinegar, warm water, spot remover kit, and a toothbrush, Reader's Digest advises. Next, blot the stain on your shirt with a clean dry cloth, per Death Wish Coffee. Then, make a solution containing said ingredients and let the solution soak on the stain. Rinse off after 15 minutes. If the stain is still there, repeat the process as needed.

Remember, you can stain coffee on more than just your clothes. Your favorite mug, perhaps, is forever stained brown because of your caffeine consumption. However, just like your clothes, there's a way of making your mug clear as a day.
First, per Reader's Digest, you should grab some baking soda, Astonish clean-up, and denture tablets. The Astonish clean-up is one of the best mug cleaners, with raving Amazon views. Simply add boiling hot water and the cleaner to the mug; rinse it out, and the stain should be gone. No scrubbing is needed. If that doesn't do the job, some baking soda and hot water or denture tablets might do the trick.
For coffee stains on furniture, Death Wish Coffee says that egg yolk (yes, really) will remove the stain. Beat the egg yolk and apply it to the stain using a terry cloth. Rinse the solution with water. As always, repeat until the stain fully disappears. Now that you know how to remove coffee stains, the fear of ruining your favorite sweater for a cup of joe should haunt you no longer!
