Should You Add Jennifer Aniston's Lolavie Glossing Detangler To Your Haircare Routine?
Jennifer Aniston is the OG hair influencer. Her iconic "The Rachel" haircut launched an entire movement and had "Friends" fans chopping off their locks for her artfully layered look. Since the 1990s, the Emmy-winning actress (via Emmys) has gone through an extensive hair evolution and regularly sets trends with her style and color.
But perfect hair doesn't happen overnight. In a November 2019 Instagram post, Jennifer Aniston's long-time hairstylist Chris McMillan (who is also the mastermind behind "The Rachel") shared the products behind her naturally tousled waves: Drunk Elephant's Detangling Spray, Harklinikken's Leave-in Conditioner, Shu Uemura's Art of Hair Shape Paste, and Kérastase's Discipline Oléo-Relax Advanced Hair Oil. So you, too, can say goodbye to bad hair days.
As the queen of the '90s and hair transformations, Aniston channeled her expertise into her haircare line LolaVie. Launched in September 2021, her beauty brand's bamboo-infused Glossing Detangler is packed with natural ingredients and targets common hair issues such as frizziness and heat damage, per Byrdie. "The Morning Show" star put a lot of thought into her haircare line. During a September 14, 2021, appearance on "Jimmy Kimmel Live" (via YouTube), she revealed that she invited her close friends — including the host himself — over for a smell test of her products. Aniston kept mum on whether she would release other beauty products, but hinted that a dry shampoo may be in the works in the future.
But is LolaVie worth all the hype?
Hair enthusiasts put LolaVie to the test
As a hair icon, it's no surprise that Jennifer Aniston's beauty debut came with a lot of "hairspectations" — and healthy skepticism. With the beauty market already saturated with so many celebrity brands, PopSugar decided to see if LolaVie's vegan Glossing Detangler lived up to the hype it received on the anonymous celebrity gossip Instagram account Deux Moi. In their review, they confirmed that the multi-use and cruelty-free detangling spray boosted hair sheen, defined natural waves without any additional hair products, and cut their beauty routine in half. PopSugar gave LolaView an impressive five-star rating.
CNN also reviewed Aniston's single beauty product and complimented its blend of natural ingredients including chia seeds, lemon, and vegetable ceramides. The outlet cosigned PopSugar's observations of shinier hair, and also noticed an increase in volume after use. Whatever hair issue you have, Lolavie's Glossing Detangler is a clear winner.
