Why Kourtney Kardashian Fans Are Criticizing Her Look
Like her sisters, Kourtney Kardashian is known for her enviable sense of style. However, fans of the reality star have been criticizing Kardashian's look in recent months, accusing her of morphing into her new fiancé, Travis Barker.
According to The U.S. Sun, some of Kardashian's recent looks to have stirred up a reaction online include an Instagram snap of the "Keeping Up With The Kardashians" star dressed in goth chick attire, complete with black lipstick. In the Instagram post captioned, "Week-at-a-glance," Kardashian also shared an image of her blood vial collection, and many of her millions of followers were quite disapproving of the reality star's new aesthetic and how she chooses to present her relationship with Barker on social media.
"Weird how people morph into their partners," one fan wrote in the Instagram comment section, while another added, "Girls always seem to morph into the person they are dating, style-wise and interest-wise."
Commenting on Kardashian's new look, one follower wrote, "Can't wait till this phase is over. Not a good look," and another user commented, "She always conforms to who she is dating or friends with. She doesn't know or is not comfortable being herself."
Kourtney Kardashian and Travis Barker aren't bothered by social media backlash
The recent string of negative comments about their relationship doesn't seem to phase Travis Barker and Kourtney Kardashian, however, and the happy couple recently announced that they are engaged to be married. As Page Six reported, the Blink-182 drummer proposed to the reality star after nine months of dating at the Rosewood Miramar Beach hotel in Montecito, California. Barker popped the question while the couple were surrounded by a gorgeous display of red roses and white candles.
Kardashian went on to confirm the news of their engagement on Instagram, with a series of photographs from the beach proposal and a caption that read, "forever @travisbarker."
Kardashian and Barker began dating in early 2021 after many years of friendship. Per Page Six, the couple has regularly made headlines throughout their short romance due to their oftentimes over-the-top PDA, much of which can be seen on the pair's social media posts. Prior to her relationship with Barker, Kardashian previously dated Scott Disick, with whom she shares three children, Mason, Penelope, and Reign.
