Recent Photos Of Salma Hayek And Her Daughter Have Fans Seeing Double
Salma Hayek is one of the most talented actresses in Hollywood. Over the years, the 55-year-old has starred in comedies, romance films, dramas, and action blockbusters (via IMDb). She won an Academy Award for her portrayal of Mexican painter Frida Kahlo in the film "Frida," starred in the cult-classic "From Dusk Till Dawn," and has joined the beloved Marvel Cinematic Universe. Hayek will star in Chloé Zhao's "Eternals" as Ajak, one of the 10 superhumans leading the film (via People).
Though Hayek is a massive star, she never imagined herself in a superhero role. "For me, it's a shocker in many ways," she told Entertainment Tonight during the "Eternals" Los Angeles premiere. "Just to know that in your 50s you're going to be a hero, an action hero, in the Marvel family."
She added: "And then on top of it, it used to be a man that they just turned into a woman. I mean if somebody told me this five years ago, I would've laughed ... so hard. And here we are! Anything is possible."
Aside from sharing insight into her casting, Hayek stunned fans when she stepped out on the red carpet with her teen daughter, Valentina Paloma Pinault.

On Oct. 18, 2021, Salma Hayek attended the Los Angeles premiere of "Eternals" with her 14-year-old daughter, Valentina Paloma Pinault (via People). Though they're more than four decades apart in age, they bear a striking resemblance to each other, especially when it comes to their gorgeous brown eyes. Mother and daughter wore their hair in similar straight styles, too, with Valentina rocking some tousled waves and highlights.
Hayek wore a black Gucci gown, Pinault donned a black-and-white polka-dot Saint Laurent mini dress, and both carried black clutches. While Hayek and Valentina look stunning together, they rarely make public appearances.
However, the "Grown Ups" star recently posted a photo on Instagram for Valentina's 14th birthday. She shared a sweet photo of the pair looking at each other in front of a sunset. She captioned the shot, "My precious girl, you are everything to me. Blessed be the day you came into my life to shine your radiant light. Happy Birthday Valentina!!!!! Thank you for being YOU."
