Celebs That Always Nail Their Halloween Costumes
When Halloween rolls around, people enjoy watching scary movies, putting up decorations, eating loads of candy, and, of course, taking in all the costumes. There are rows of options to consider, there is the final decision to make, and, afterwards, there is time to look online at everyone's ensembles.
In particular, fans look forward to seeing celebrity costumes each year, since actors, singers, and athletes attend glamorous events on October 31 ... events that require Instagram-worthy looks. And every year, there are certain celebs we can always count on, more than anyone else, when it comes to delivering the best and most memorable Halloween costumes of all.
Whether they are dressing their families up as famous film and television characters, celebrating iconic creatures associated with this time of the year, or rocking clothes that transform them into toys or historical figures, these are the stars who always nail this spooktacular holiday.
Neil Patrick Harris and his family go all out
First up is Neil Patrick Harris, his husband, David Burtka, and their twins, Harper and Gideon. Every year, they pick a theme and dress up for this spooky holiday as a family. When discussing the topic on "Late Night with Seth Meyers," the host said, "It seems to me that you take Halloween very seriously." Harris had the perfect reply, which shows just how much he loves this time. "You don't?" (via YouTube).
Over the years, this group has been characters from "Peter Pan," "The Wizard Of Oz," "Alice In Wonderland," and "Star Wars." Their costumes have run the gamut from superheroes to classic Halloween monsters. Last year, their looks were inspired by "Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory," as seen here (via Insider). From the facial expressions and the clothing items to the props and accessories, they nailed it, as usual, and we can't wait to see the big reveal for 2021.
You can always count on the Kardashian-Jenner clan to deliver
Even when it comes to day-to-day outfits, the members of the Kardashian-Jenner family put in a great deal of effort. So it makes sense that their Halloween costumes are always jaw-dropping ones, as well. For instance, transformations have included Kim Kardashian as Elle Woods from "Legally Blonde," Kris Jenner as Cleopatra, Kylie Jenner as Barbie, Kourtney Kardashian as Ariana Grande, Kendall Jenner as a Fembot from "Austin Powers," and Khloé Kardashian as Daenerys from "Game of Thrones."
It is common for their significant others and children to get in on the themed costumes, too. The world has seen Kanye West, North West, Saint West, Chicago West, and Psalm West join Kim as characters from "The Flintstones," and recently, Mason Disick was Freddy Krueger. When Khloé wore her "Game of Thrones" inspired look, Tristan Thompson joined her as Drogo. Even Rob Kardashian, at times, gets in on the fun, being King Peppy from "Trolls" one year (via E! News).
The real queen of Halloween is Heidi Klum
There are different opinions about what makes a great costume, as some people prefer cute while others like creepy ones. The looks that truly stand out, though, and are remembered years later are the ones with attention to detail, like the ones from Heidi Klum.
When Klum was Lady Godiva back in 2001, she came in on an actual horse. When she was a human body, she was rolled in on a stretcher, with muscles and ligaments on display. As an elderly woman, Klum had very realistic wrinkles and varicose veins. Just look at all those details, helping us all to get a glimpse into her future! With the use of prosthetics, she looked exactly like Jessica Rabbit one year (via Glamour). The list goes on and on, and the anticipation for this year's costume (which we know will be just as amazing) is building and building.
