Why Dan Brady From Virgin River Looks So Familiar
The Netflix romance series "Virgin River," based on the novels by Robyn Carr, has captured hearts on the streaming platform (via Salon). Starring Alexandra Breckenridge in the lead role as Melinda Monroe, the series follows her character's transition from Los Angeles to the small, peaceful town of Virgin River nestled in the mountains of Northern California.
The series initially premiered in December 2019, and has since been renewed for a fourth and fifth season by Netflix thanks to its major popularity (via Glamour). Since its debut, "Virgin River" has captivated audiences with tales of life, loss, and love with the help of characters like Jack Sheridan (played by Martin Henderson), John Middleton (Colin Lawrence), and Dan Brady (Benjamin Hollingsworth).
Many of the actors on the show will be familiar to viewers, and that's especially true for Hollingsworth, as this isn't his first major television role. But what has the actor been in before that makes him so recognizable?
Benjamin Hollingsworth has worked with the likes of Rob Lowe and David Duchovny
Prior to joining the cast as a guest star in the first season of "Virgin River," Benjamin Hollingsworth had a major recurring role on the CBS drama "Code Black" as Dr. Mario Savetti (via IMDb). Starring alongside the likes of Marcia Gay Harden, Rob Lowe, and Luis Guzmán, Hollingsworth played the hardworking Savetti for the show's three season run before it came to an end in July 2018.
Inhabiting a character for nearly 50 episodes will obviously have an affect on you as an actor, and Hollingsworth has certainly not forgotten his time on "Code Black," Since the show came to an end, he's been posting some lovely throwback photos of his time on set, including an amazing snap of Marcia Gay Harden's daughter guest starring on the series (via Instagram).
"Code Black" isn't the only acting credit on Hollingsworth's résumé. The star has also appeared in episodes of the likes of "Suits," "CSI: Miami," "Once Upon A Time," and the recent revival of "Nancy Drew." He also played the son of David Duchovny and Demi Moore in "The Joneses," as well as Terence in "Diary of a Wimpy Kid: Rodrick Rules." And while you can expect to see him in the next couple seasons of "Virgin River," he's also set to star in the upcoming adaptation of the "Joe Pickett" detective novels (via Deadline).
