How Kathryn Hahn Channeled Fellow MCU Star Chris Evans At The Emmys

Chris Evans is not in attendance at the 2021 Emmy Awards, but fellow Marvel Cinematic Universe star Kathryn Hahn is channeling his kind-hearted energy in the audience at L.A. Live. Hahn made her debut in the MCU playing Agatha Harkness (also known as Agnes) in the Disney+ series "WandaVision." She went into the awards show with a nomination for Outstanding Supporting Actress in a Limited or Anthology Series or Movie category for her work on the project.

Based on a tweet that went up about the category, it appeared as though The New York Times' social media director expected the actor to take home the Emmy. Instead, it ultimately went to Julianne Nicholson for her work in "Mare Of Easttown." Although she didn't manage a win, Hahn clearly is taking the news with grace.

She's also showing off her generous nature inside the venue. Just like Evans — who went viral for helping people down the stairs at the 2019 Oscars (via Wired) — hawk-eyed fans noticed that Hahn offered Michaela Coel a helping hand down the steps (via Twitter). It's particularly noteworthy since Coel beat out "WandaVision" to win the Emmy for Outstanding Writing for a Limited or Anthology Series or Movie.

WandaVision has been largely overlooked at the 2021 Emmy Awards

Fans expected "WandaVision" to sweep the 2021 Emmy Awards. The series went into the September 19 awards show with eight nominations, including nods in categories such as Best Limited Series (via The New York Times). Despite getting plenty of recognition, the show and its star-studded cast have been beaten out by the competition.

Aside from Kathryn Hahn's above-mentioned loss, the show's top-billed stars — Elizabeth Olsen (Wanda Maximoff, also known as the Scarlet Witch) and Paul Bettany (Vision) — both lost out in the lead actress and actor categories. Kate Winslet and Ewan McGregor respectively took home the wins there. The show also lost out to "The Queen's Gambit" in directing and "I May Destroy You" in writing categories.

They may not be winning, but Hahn and Olsen are racking up plenty of positive media attention at the awards show — Hahn for being adorable and generous, while Olsen made a sweet statement with her fashion choices.

Although the show didn't reign supreme at the 2021 Emmy Awards, it's picked up wins elsewhere. For example, it won Best Show and Olsen won Best Performance in a Show at the MTV Movie & TV Awards (via Variety).
