Best Dressed At The 2021 Emmy Awards

From Cecily Strong from "SNL," to Emerald Fennell, A.K.A. Camilla Bowles from "The Crown," the Emmys red carpet was the place to see all of our favorite TV stars (via The Verge). But which ones were the best of the best when it came to fashion?

First, let's not forget the men, who also came dressed to impress on television's biggest night. Early on, Josh O'Connor, who played young Prince Charles on "The Crown" showed up wearing a flower instead of a traditional bowtie on his tux. Then, Kenan Thompson gave us something to talk about, donning a dusty pink tuxedo.

So whose red-carpet-worthy attire did we obsess over the most? Consider that some celebs played it safe — we're looking at you Rita Wilson and Jennifer Coolidge — choosing elegant black, which we weren't mad at, but, others came to wow, showing up in outfits that definitely pushed boundaries.

Yes, Emma Corrin from "The Crown," we are referring to your look, which definitely left folks divided. These are the looks we'll be talking about for weeks to come.

So let's start now with our favorite fashion picks from the 2021 Emmys.

Billy Porter

No best dressed list would be complete without including Billy Porter from "Pose." The actor woke up a sleepy red carpet by, well, posing for cameras, showing off a structured, wing-adorned, all-black outfit accessorized with a super-sparkly diamond and emerald statement necklace (via E! Online). Long gloves and more sparkly jewelry completed the buzzworthy look (via Bustle).

On Twitter, fans were definitely talking about Porter, with one person saying, "Holy glam." Someone else enthused, "Oh Billy Porter, I just love you. You look like a Royal Black Swan Prince tonight."

Perhaps one Twitter user said it best by noting that Porter always brings "magic" and "joy" to the red carpet.

Gillian Anderson

Margaret Thatcher is that you? Behold Gillian Anderson, who we refuse to believe is 53 years old (via Prevention). "The Crown" star showed up in a bohemian-esque dress that set her apart on the red carpet, and gave Twitter something to, well, tweet about. "GILLIAN ANDERSON YOU'RE THE MOST BEAUTIFUL WOMAN IN THE WORLD," declared one fan, while someone else commented, "NO ONE IS DOING IT LIKE GILLIAN ANDERSON."

But sharing side-by-side photos of Anderson as Thatcher, and at the award show, another Twitter user said, "Weird seeing Gillian Anderson go from this to this."

But ultimately, fans called the actress "glowing" and "iconic."

Emma Corrin

Emma Corrin portrayed Princess Diana on "The Crown" and a star on the Emmys red carpet. Her look, designed by Miu Miu, which featured a cream-colored pant suit, fingerless gloves, and a matching bonnet, had everyone on Twitter sharing their take (via E! Online). "So far my favorite Emmys look is Emma Corrin's absolutely unhinged Serial Killer Handmaid that looks latex but can't possibly be?" tweeted one, um, fan?

The unique look prompted another person to tweet, "i just kinda like it for some sick and twisted reason," while someone else said the star looked "like a work of art."

But not everyone was into the outfit, with one Twitter user commenting, "Emma Corrin looks like an idiot. Designer labels don't make looks suddenly spectacular. Couture clownery."

Mj Rodriguez

With black and white ensembles definitely being big trends on the Emmys red carpet, Mj Rodriguez from "Pose" definitely stood out in aqua. The star, who is the first trans woman to be nominated in a major category at the award show, looked radiant in the bright hue, and had Twitter buzzing that the look was Emmy win-worthy.

The Seattle Times noted the dress was designed by Versace Atelier, and enthused that Rodriguez had infused the Emmys with a taste of Old Hollywood glamour. We concur!

Elizabeth Olsen

"WandaVision" star Elizabeth Olsen reminded us of someone on the Emmys red carpet. If you guessed her sisters, Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen, you'd be right, and Nylon confirms they designed the all-white look via their label, The Row.

The star paired her roomy, long-sleeve gown with statement earrings by Chopard, and pretty makeup.

Twitter weighed in on the fashion moment, with one person saying, "This is her night." Another fan was even more bowled over by the actress' fashion choice, tweeting, "God is a woman....is name is Elizabeth olsen."

Kaley Cuoco

Kaley Cuoco arrived as a nominee for her role in "The Flight Attendant" (via Cheat Sheet). But that dress is what had our hearts setting flight. The actress definitely distracted us from the fact that she just separated from her husband Karl Cook with her custom Vera Wang neon green gown that featured floral detailing at the shoulder, and a full skirt. Matching strappy shoes completed the look that Cosmopolitan called "a ray of sunshine" on the carpet.

Twitter was in love with the look too, calling Cuoco "pretty," "gorgeous," and "a vision." Of course, you can't please everyone, with one person tweeting, "there's a place and a time for highlighters. the #Emmys carpet is not that Kaley Cuoco." Don't worry, Kaley! We are big fans!

Mandy Moore

New mom Mandy Moore looked like a "Pretty Woman" in a red gown reminiscent of a young Julia Roberts, complete with matching red lipstick and a huge smile. Behind the dress was her son, Gus, with the star calling her breast pump her "Mom MVP Accessory" for the evening, according to People

The "This Is Us" actress was nominated for her role on the drama in 2019 (via IMDb). We nominate her for best dressed at this year's award show, and Twitter agrees, with one fan commenting that she was a "red carpet queen," while someone else said, "I can't believe Mandy Moore is THAT pretty and she's not even nominated as lead actress."

Cynthia Erivo

Last but certainly not least on our best dressed list for the 2021 Emmys? It has to be Cynthia Erivo, who dazzled in a white gown with a peacock feather skirt. Did we mention the diamond choker? Just wow.

The Louis Vuitton ensemble was a big win over on Twitter, with Variety calling her "elegant" and someone else commenting, "Cynthia Erivo is my spirit animal. Love the simplicity of this white tank dress by Louis Vuitton that erupts into a feather train" (via E! Online).

Meanwhile, the British actress shared she ran a half marathon this weekend as well. Okay, we are officially impressed Cynthia!
