Here's How Tall Ben Affleck Really Is
Ben Affleck has long been a leading man in Hollywood, with his breakout role in "Good Will Hunting" making him a household name back in 1997 (via IMDb). One thing that sets him apart from other A-list actors is his height. Consider that according to NPR, Tom Cruise is 5 feet 7 inches, while Brad Pitt is 5 feet 11 inches.
Affleck is considerably taller, and in fact, is on the very tall end of his Hollywood peers. It might be interesting to note that the women he has dated are also considerably shorter than him, with NPR reporting the actor's ex, Gwyneth Paltrow stands at 5 feet 9 inches, and Cheat Sheet citing Jennifer Lopez's heigh as 5 feet 5 inches.
Meanwhile, movies can also make actors appear taller than they are. So is this the case with Affleck, even though we know he is on the tall side? For instance, Mark Wahlberg, is 5 feet 8 inches according to Cheat Sheet, but most of us can agree he seems a lot bigger on screen.
Ben Affleck stands much taller than his BFF
As Cheat Sheet notes, no camera trickery is needed to make Ben Affleck look tall in movies, since the Academy Award winner stands at 6 feet 4 inches.
In fact, the "Argo" actor's height is something he prides himself on, at least jokingly, with Affleck making fun of his best friend Matt Damon's relatively short stature in a 2014 charity video. After the duo jibes one another over topics of conversation that matter, Damon jokingly hints that he did more of the writing on "Good Will Hunting."
"Sure, or we could talk about things that are actually true! Like how incredibly short Matt Damon is" the taller actor responds in jest (via Daily Mail).
Ultimately, Affleck does not seem to have talked much about his height over the course of his career, but he is pretty tall, with only a few well-known celebrity men standing taller than him, including Joe Manganiello, who is 6 foot 5 inches (via Men's Health).
