This Might Explain Why Ivanka Trump Didn't Go Out In Public For Months
Ivanka Trump left the White House in January, after four years at her father, Donald Trump's side, serving as his senior advisor (via Newsweek). Upon vacating 1600 Pennsylvania Avenue, the once-rising political star proceeded to purchase a mega mansion near Miami with her family — her husband, Jared Kushner, and their kids, Arabella, Joseph, and Theodore — and promptly disappear from the public eye (via The Washington Post and MarketWatch).
But was this totally surprising? Remember, in 2019, Trump told "Face the Nation," that the "kids and their happiness" would be her "top priority" moving forward, adding about her future plans, "My decisions will always be flexible enough to ensure that their needs are being considered. They will really drive that answer for me."
True to her words, aside from occasionally being spotted out and about exercising, or making a rare local public appearance, we haven't seen much of the former first daughter, who previously spent most of her time squarely in the spotlight (via Daily Mail and People).
The exception? When the mom of three stepped out with her family for a headline-making afternoon.
People want to know where Ivanka Trump has been
Indeed, Ivanka Trump was spotted recently during a casual outing with Arabella, according to Yahoo!, which also reports the 39-year-old was not photographed before this day since, wait for it, June.
Of course, her absence had people wildly speculating as to why Trump hadn't stepped out in public for quite a while, with another Yahoo! story noting Trump and Kushner were keeping a very low profile in the months following their four-year stint in Washington, D.C. CNN reported in June that Trump wanted to distance herself from politics, and her father specifically, in light of the scandal surrounding the election.
But other than taking a step back from public life, and the Trump legacy, what has the mom of three really been up to? And why is she so rarely seen in public?
The new Florida resident's most recent appearance out and about, and her 2019 interview about her priorities after her time in the White House, likely answer that very question.
We are not accustomed to seeing Ivanka Trump in casual mode
Echoing her earlier dedication to put her children first upon her father ending his term in office, as a source said about Ivanka Trump and her decision to stay out of the public eye for now, she is "focusing on family time" (via Yahoo!).
And this week, the Daily Mail photographed the former advisor to the president in front of her family's Florida condo, wearing workout clothes, while her 10-year-old daughter looked on, sporting an adorable tie dye ensemble. That the mom and daughter spent quality time together for a special outing supports the source's statement about family being the focus for the business-minded mom.
Of course, a dressed-down Trump shows us a completely different side of the former model, whom we grew more accustomed to seeing making high-profile speeches during Donald Trump's tenure in the White House. Instead of a tailored suit, she donned spandex, and there was no teleprompter in sight! Meanwhile, this was not the first time of late that the low-key mom was photographed spending QT with her kiddos.
Ivanka Trump is indeed focusing on family
Aside from her afternoon in the Florida sunshine with Arabella, the Daily Mail also caught up with Trump while she was getting ice cream with her daughter and her seven-year-old son Joseph just a day earlier. The outlet reports the mini-date took place after the former presidential aide picked them up from school. Hands-on mom indeed!
Ultimately, based on these outings, it seems clear that Trump is indeed taking advantage of her time post-Washington to be with her family, just as she said she wanted to. Inquiring minds can likely rest assured now, their curiosity satiated.
Meanwhile, as Reuters reports, Kushner is in the process of launching an investment firm. And, rumblings continue that Donald Trump will run for office again in 2024 (via Newsweek). So will we see his daughter return to politics? Reports vary, with the East Bay Times saying she may even run as his vice president, with her eyes fixed on an eventual bid for the top job herself. But other reports quote Mary Trump as saying her cousin Ivanka's political life is over (via Independent).
What is the truth? For now, all we know is that family comes first for this former first daughter, and the future is completely unknown.
