The blonde bombshell won a modeling contest in Germany at just 18-years-old and moved to New York to pursue her career. She quickly began working with Victoria's Secret, appeared on the cover of the 18 Sports Illustrated swimsuit issue, and made appearances in high fashion magazines like Vogue, Harper's Bazaar and Marie Claire. In 2004, the German-born starlet began hosting the beloved design competition series "Project Runway."
While the launch of the series was certainly a milestone in her life, a more important event took place after the premiere. In May, Klum gave birth to her first child, Leni. Leni Klum made her official runway debut at the Italian fashion house Dolce & Gabbana's Alta Moda show (via People), strutting down the runway in a blue mini dress paired with a matching crown, necklace, and earrings. In awe of her daughter's debut, Heidi Klum shared videos and photos of the life-changing moment on Instagram. The young model shared a few behind-the-scenes shots of the show on Instagram herself, with the caption "Thank you to the whole @dolcegabbana team!! You made my first runway show so special."
It's clear from her excitement that Leni Klum intends to continue her modeling career. Luckily for the newbie, her mother wants to help her as much as she can. The veteran model told People, "I've been helping her with deals and she has so many things in the pipeline. It's really exciting. She's doing the things I was always dreaming to do!"
The "Making the Cut" star added that her daughter really enjoys her work and excels at it. She concluded, "She's not afraid of cameras because she's always come to my sets and my shows. She's quite strong in the sense where she plays with it!"
