The Truth About I Love A Mama's Boy's Justina And Jason
The third season of TLC's hit show "I Love a Mama's Boy" finished airing in September 2022, and fans have been clamoring for more ever since. Although the channel has yet to announce it, at the time of writing, we can assume "I Love a Mama's Boy" is returning since it remains super popular with fans. If you watched the first season of the reality show, you know that the series follows couples who deal with overbearing mothers. Subsequent seasons found new couples joining the returning cast members, like Matt and Kim, who were struggling to plan their wedding with Matt's mom always around (via E! News).
The only couple not to return for round two, in fact, were fan favorites Justina and Jason, who were struggling to plan their own wedding with Jason's mom, Annette, always getting in the way. According to Distractify, when Jason and Justina first appeared on the show, they had been together for five years. They even share a daughter, Taylor. If it weren't for Annette, these two would've been living in marital bliss, but, at the end of the first season, things weren't looking good. Justina finally confronted Annette about wanting to have a country wedding, but, according to Celeb Dirty Laundry, Annette was not having it.
She still insisted that the two get married in Las Vegas against their wishes. So, where are Jason and Justina today? And have they managed to tie the knot yet?
Justina and Jason are still very much together
Jason and Justina have yet to say "I do" — or at least they haven't shared any confirmation publicly, with no photos of their big day online — and they are still engaged judging by social media, too. According to The Sun, the couple was still in the wedding planning phase as of 2021. Nothing much seems to have changed in the intervening time. Also, Justina's Instagram bio still reads: "Fiancé to @jasonmcclay."
Since the show ended, both parties have continued to post happy pictures of their home life, though they aren't nearly as active as other reality TV stars. In March 2023, Jason shared a scenic shot of some mountains noting, "New year. New house. Great view," which prompted a fan to quip: "You guys moved?? Your mom must be super sad!!" Likewise, they both celebrated Taylor starting first grade on Instagram.
"My 1st Grader," Jason wrote alongside a sweet pic of the father-daughter duo smiling widely together, while Justina captioned a shot of Taylor proudly holding up a sign commemorating her achievement with: "My big kid." The couple promoted "I Love a Mama's Boy" extensively during their tenure on the show but haven't mentioned it much since. However, both still include a nod to it in their Instagram bios.
Is Annette still causing problems for Justina and Jason?
It remains to be seen whether Jason's mother is still an issue for him and Justina. One fan responded to a clip from "I Love a Mama's Boy" by pointing out, "Your mother is literally doing all she can to ruin your wife's experience on her wedding day. It's so clear how vindictive and manipulative she is and I feel really bad for your wife." Watching the series, it did seem like Jason's mom was sabotaging Justina's big day.
In one episode, Annette insisted that Jason wear a red tux for the wedding, which Justina absolutely hated (via Pop Culture). When Jason told Annette he couldn't wear the red suit, his mother said, "That's not very fair. But she gets to wear whatever she wants." Hopefully, Annette is not intentionally sabotaging Justina and Jason's big day, and these two can finally have their happily ever after.
However, Justina remains Jason's ride or die regardless. In October 2021, he posted a shot alongside her and Taylor, captioning it: "My definition of happiness is being with you." Clearly, it's not cold feet keeping these two from walking down the aisle.
