The Truth About Barbra Streisand's Stepdaughter, Molly Elizabeth Brolin

Coming from a family of famous people isn't always easy — imagine if your stepmother is the one and only Barbra Streisand herself. Streisand had one child with her first husband, Elliot Gould, before marrying James Brolin in 1998 and becoming a stepmom to his children. His older two children, including actor Josh Brolin, were adults at the time and were born during Brolin's first marriage to the late Jane Agee. He then had another child, Molly Elizabeth Brolin, with his second wife, Jan Smithers.

While Streisand and the Brolin men are all incredibly well-known, Molly Brolin hasn't really been in the limelight to the same extent. Even her mother is an actress — while not as famous as her ex-husband and his wife, she had a main role in the sitcom "WKRP in Cincinnati" as well as guest appearances in everything from "Starsky & Hutch" to "Murder, She Wrote" (via IMDb). However, we don't know a whole lot about Streisand's stepdaughter — particularly when compared to her parents and brother — so here's the truth about the younger Brolin child.

Molly Elizabeth Brolin has worked as an assistant producer

Molly Elizabeth Brolin grew up in California, graduating from high school in the state before leaving for college in Boston, where she attended the Berklee College of Music. After this, though she worked in Hollywood, she didn't use her connections to slide into a cushy job straight away. Instead, she worked hard as a production assistant, first on "John Mulaney: New in Town" and then the hit movie "Men in Black 3."

Moving on from being a production assistant, Brolin worked alongside her friend Justin Johnston to create a rock opera for the stage called "Smile Swamp Princess," and in 2018 she worked as the assistant producer on the Hallmark Channel movie "Royal Hearts," directed by her father, who also starred in the film.

Outside of work, she's known to have a good relationship with her famous father (via AmoMama), and — while she's perhaps not a household name like him — she's definitely carved out a pretty good career for herself.
