Here's What Victorious Star Avan Jogia Looks Like Today

On Nickelodeon's beloved teen sitcom "Victorious," Canadian actor Avan Jogia played sensitive heartthrob Beck. The long-suffering boyfriend of goth mean girl Jade (Elizabeth Gillies) and the subject of many a hair-based joke thanks to his impossibly fluffy mane, Beck broke boundaries for "hot guy" stereotypes by being a good friend and an even better love interest. Offscreen, rumors circulated that he and co-star Victoria Justice, who played lead Tori, were secretly dating, too.

Suffice to say, Jogia was a fan favorite among a cast of lovable up-and-comers — one of whom, naturally, turned into the superstar that is Ariana Grande. "Victorious" was definitely Jogia's big break, judging by IMDb, with just a handful of bit parts to his name prior to landing on Nickelodeon in 2010. Funnily enough, Jogia popped up briefly during a "Cribs" tour of fellow actor Josh Hutcherson's house the year before (via YouTube). In the intervening time, he's left Beck (and his hair) behind.

Beck was just the beginning for Avan Jogia

In the years since "Victorious" wrapped, actor Avan Jogia has consistently booked jobs, even nabbing a recurring part in the TV series "Twisted" immediately afterward (via IMDb). Roles in other TV shows, including "Tut," "Ghost Wars," and "Now Apocalypse" followed soon after, along with parts in movies such as "Ted 2," "Shaft," and "Zombieland: Double Tap."

According to Teen Vogue, the talented multihyphenate also released a book, "Mixed Feelings: Poems and Stories," in 2019, describing it as "a bunch of poems that I wrote about my own family, my own family background, my own identity, my own struggles with my own mixed identity." He also walked for Dolce & Gabbana in 2017, during Milan Men's Fashion Week, as per Elle

Of his time on "Victorious," Jogia enthused to People, "It was like college. All those people are my loved ones. We grew up together and we got to experience LA for the first time together and go through adult stuff." The actor reunited with former colleague Victoria Justice for the 2017 movie "The Outcasts," but he's totally down for a full "Victorious" reboot, too, when the time comes, he said (via People). No word yet on whether he'd resurrect Beck's fabulous hair for the occasion, however.
