Here's What Disney Star Mitchel Musso Looks Like Today

Disney's "Hannah Montana" ran for just four seasons, from 2006 to 2011 (via IMDb), with a tie-in movie released in 2009, but the impact of the hit musical show on a generation of fans cannot be understated. Its main cultural gift, of course, was the introduction of one Miley Cyrus, who these days is one of the biggest pop stars in the world. Looking back at "Hannah Montana" now, the show seems kind of quaint with its message of being who you are even when it's tough, but it still holds up regardless.

Aside from Cyrus, who played lead Miley (secretly Hannah), "Hannah Montana" boasted a key cast of then-unknowns who have gone on to varying degrees of success in the years since it wrapped. Emily Osment, who played Cyrus's on-screen BFF, Lilly, has her own twin music and acting careers to rival her former co-star's, even if Osment isn't as well known as Cyrus (via Insider). As for Lilly's one-time boyfriend, and the girls' long-suffering BFF, Oliver Oken, actor Mitchel Musso has really grown up.

The years since the hit Disney show have been good to Mitchel Musso

As Insider noted, Mitchel Musso was actually written off "Hannah Montana" after he was charged with a DUI, to which the actor pled no contest. However, his Disney days weren't over as, aside from appearing in a handful of episodes during the final season, Musso went on to voice characters in animated shows "Phineas and Ferb" and "Milo Murphy's Law." He also fronted short-lived show "Pair of Kings" alongside Larramie Doc Shaw. When "Pair of Kings" was added to subscription service Disney+ in 2021, the actor took to Instagram to thank fans for streaming it and for their continued support, sharing a slideshow of sweet shots from back in the day.

Elsewhere, as per IMDb, Musso has appeared in a handful of movies including horror flick "The Sand," "Bachelor Lions," and "Phineas and Ferb the Movie: Candace Against the Universe." He also released an album in 2009, followed by a selection of singles in subsequent years, according to Apple Music. Judging by the comments on Musso's Instagram posts, fans are clamoring for more music from the former child star. In 2018, the actor reunited with "Hannah Montana" co-stars Emily Osment, Moises Arias, and Jason Earles while, the previous year on Twitter, he complained about some of Oliver's worst looks on the show, raging, "Why they do me so dirty."
